Stephen Good

Steve Good is another transplanted Canadian. He holds a B.A. and M.A. in English, a teaching credential and a law degree (LL.B.), and has been a teacher, lawyer, business communications consultant and college English professor. He’s also the co-author of The Student’s Only Survival Guide to Essay Writing (1995), and was ghost and editor for the second edition of Alcoholism: Treatable Illness (1990) by the late George Strachan, one of the founding members of Alcoholics Anonymous.

He describes himself as the culprit behind a “smattering” of articles, published poetry and various other works. He’s taught academic composition, business writing and technical writing, and has worked with multi-disciplinary approaches to literature in popular culture. As a lawyer, he focused on wills, corporate work, legal drafting and opinions for other members of the bar. As a business consultant, he provided “grass roots” communication advice to corporate and private clients in the info-tech and courseware industries.

He retired in 2007 prior to leaving Canada for Europe with his family. Since then, he’s lived in Malta, Tuscany and the south of France, and now calls Zagreb home. He’s pretty much a family guy, and whatever else he’s doing, he’s usually not too far from his wife, his daughter and the family dog. He’s currently developing a website for a new communications venture and working on two or three longer writing projects. When he has the time, he messes around with the guitar – something he claims to have been doing badly for the last half-century, give or take a few years. He can almost always be persuaded to chat over cold pivo.
