Steve Gaunt

Steve Gaunt was born at a very early age in Leeds. In his twenties, he started to travel through Europe and America. In November, 1991 while working for a tour operator he volunteered to in the Croatian forces in the Homeland War and served in the Vinkovci area until he was badly wounded in June 1992. he eventually became a Croatian citizen in May 1993 and started working for local and national newspapers as a photographer. Steve married a local girl in 1996 and has six children. He works still especially for the local museum in Vinkovci and has built a pub for himself on land he bought.
