ZAGREB, 29 May 2022 - Over the past 12 months Croatians ordered more than 1.7 million burgers on Glovo, which makes Croatia one of the ten countries where Glovo operates with the largest number of burger orders, Glovo said this past Friday ahead of International Hamburger Day, 28 May.

A total of 850,000 burgers were ordered by residents of Zagreb on Glovo in the past year. Zagreb is followed by Sisak, where 34% of orders on Glovo were burgers, and by Velika Gorica, Varaždin, Rijeka and Karlovac.

Croatians most frequently order cheeseburgers, classic hamburgers and chicken burgers and they order them most often on Fridays and Saturdays, between 8 and 9 pm.

Glovo, a Spanish on-demand courier service that purchases, picks up, and delivers products ordered through its mobile app, has been active in Croatia since 2019. It entered the Croatian market in Zagreb, after which it expanded its business to a dozen other cities.

ZAGREB, 4 Sept, 2021 - The Zagreb Burger Festival will be held in Trg Franje Tuđmana Square in Zagreb from 10 to 19 September.

The sixth edition of this event features burger makers from Zagreb, Šibenik, Dubrovnik and Varaždinske Toplice.

As many as 10 participants will take pat in the contest as part of the festival which will be organised in compliance with the COVID epidemiological rules.

January 20, 2020 - We've already gotten somehow used to the fact that in the food and drinks industry when something is considered to be the best in Croatia, like a Mason Burger, it will probably get some international recognition too.

That's exactly what happened to Mason Burgers today when a famous travel website Big 7 Travel included the Croatian creation on their list of 50 best burgers you can have in Europe. It was the Mason Burger, created by chef Ivan Zidar, a burger-creating franchise based in Pula which produces burgers you can eat at numerous locations in Croatia throughout the year. They are also present at many significant tourist and gourmet events, as well as at many locations on the coast during the tourist season. Mason Burgers were the winners of two Zagreb Burger Festivals, in 2017 and 2018 and it really shouldn't surprise anyone that they are considered the best burger there is in Croatia.

The site, Big 7 Travel, says the following in their justification for putting the Mason Burger on this prestigious list: "Think you’ve had gourmet burgers before? Think again, ‘cos few places can compare to Mason Burgers & Stuff, an award-winning Croatian burger bar. Flavoursome, smoked beef patties come in doughy buns with toppings such as apricot and caramel onion jam and local ingredients, with a focus on Istrian cheese." And it's true, a Mason Burger is creative, innovative but at the same time, because of the nature of their business model, dedicated to maintaining the quality of their product at all times.

You can find the Mason Burger at the several locations in Zagreb, including the Mali Medo Brewery in Tkalčićeva, Fakin Craft Bar in Vukovarska and for a while now they've been announcing that they'll open their own location in Zagreb - but it's not clear why it's taking so long.
