Croatia Reports 773 New COVID-19 Cases, 1 Related Death

ZAGREB, 18 May 2022 - Croatia has recorded 773 new coronavirus cases and 1 COVID-related death in the past 24 hours, the national coronavirus response team reported on Wednesday.

Currently there are 3,902 active cases in the country and 1,526 people are self-isolating.

There are 326 hospitalised patients, 11 of whom are on ventilators.

Since the outbreak of the epidemic in Croatia, a total of 1,132,671 COVID cases have been registered and 15,945 people have died as a consequence. 

By Tuesday, 5,249,573 doses of a COVID vaccine had been administered, and 59.51% of the total population, or 70.78% of adults, had been vaccinated.

Croatia Reports 382 New Coronavirus Cases, 10 Deaths

ZAGREB, 17 April 2022 - In the last 24 hours, 382 coronavirus cases, out of 2,228 tests, and ten related deaths have been registered in Croatia, the national COVID-19 crisis management team said on Sunday.

There are 4,745 active cases, including 477 hospitalised patients, of whom 24 are on ventilators, while 2,742 persons are self-isolating.

To date, 59.46% of the total population representing 70.73% of adults, has been vaccinated against the virus, including 68.64% of adults who have been fully vaccinted.

Croatia Reports 6,001 New Coronavirus Cases, 59 Deaths

ZAGREB, 6 Feb 2022 - Croatia has recorded 6,001 new coronavirus cases and 59 deaths in the last 24 hours.

The national coronavirus response team said on Sunday that 4,780 new infections with the SARS-CoV-2 virus had been detected by PCR tests, while media reported that another 1,221 had been identified by rapid antigen tests.

Currently, 2,140 COVID patients are being treated in hospitals, 178 are on ventilators, while 25,006 people are self-isolating.

Since 25 February 2020, when the first case was confirmed in Croatia, 983,780 people have been registered as having been infected with the novel coronavirus. Of this number, 14,137 have died and 917,608 have recovered, including 8,706 in the last 24 hours.

A total of 4,328,022 people have been tested to date, including 10,787 in the last 24 hours.

To date, 5,132,763 vaccine doses have been administered, making up 56.64% of the total population, or 67.39% of the adult population, who have been vaccinated.

A total of 2,298,364 people have received at least one dose while 2,212,347 of them have been fully vaccinated, making up 65.02% of the adult population.

Croatia's Coronavirus Update: 15,287 New Cases, 54 Deaths

ZAGREB, 2 Feb 2022 - In the past 24 hours, there have been 15,287 new cases of coronavirus infections in Croatia, the national COVID-19 crisis management team reported on Wednesday.

The COVID-related death toll has risen by 54, to a total of 13,947.

Currently, there are 60,264 active cases of those infected with SARS-CoV-2. 2,067 COVID patients are receiving hospital treatment, of which 190 are placed on ventilators.

As many as 64.89% of adults have fully been vaccinated.

Croatia Logs 3,797 New COVID-19 Cases, 71 Deaths

ZAGREB, 10 Dec 2021 - Croatia has registered 3,797 new coronavirus cases and 71 COVID-related deaths in the last 24 hours, the national coronavirus response team reported on Friday.

The number of active cases stands at 26,824 and among them 2,329 infected persons are receiving hospital treatment, including 326 who are on ventilators.

A total of 23,617 people are self-isolating.

Since 25 February 2020, when the first case was confirmed in Croatia, 648,003 people have been registered as having contracted the SARS-CoV-2 virus, of whom 11,516 have died.

A total of 609,663 people have recovered, including 4,585 in the last 24 hours.

To date, 3,559,322 people have tested for the new virus, of whom 11,178 in the last 24 hours.

As of Thursday, 4,338,159 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered, with 54.74 per cent of the total population, or 65.28 per cent of the adult population, having been vaccinated. A total of 2,221,412 people have received at least one dose and 2,019,336 of them have been fully vaccinated, which is 59.56 per cent of the adult population.

Croatia Registers 6,449 New Coronavirus Infections, 53 Deaths

ZAGREB, 12 Nov (Hina) - Over the past 24 hours, Croatia has registered 6,449 new cases of the coronavirus infection and there have been 53 related deaths, the national COVID-19 crisis management team said on Friday.

The number of active cases in Croatia currently stands at 39,846, including 2,086 patients in hospitals, 251 of whom are on ventilators, and 30,252 people are in self-isolation.

To date, a total of 3,246,065 people have been tested, including 15,067 in the last 24 hours.

A total of 3,790,884 vaccine doses have been administered, and 49.1% of the population has been vaccinated, including 59.20% of adults, of whom 54.55% have been fully vaccinated.

Croatia's Coronavirus Update: 1,373 New Cases, 15 Deaths, 694 Hospitalizations

ZAGREB, 23 Sept 2021 - In the last 24 hours, Croatia has conducted 10,106 coronavirus tests, and 13.6% of them, or 1,373, have turned out to be positive, and ten more COVID patients have died, raising the COVID-related death toll to 8,554, the country's COVID-19 crisis management team reported on Thursday.

There are now 8,615 active cases, and 694 of them are receiving hospital treatment, including 89 placed on ventilators.

Since the first registered case of the infection with the novel virus in Croatia on 25 February 2020, the country has conducted over 2.76 million tests which have shown that 396,470 people have caught the virus, and of them, 379,301 have recovered, including 1,132 recoveries in the last 24 hours.

To date, 3,388,015 vaccines have been administered. As many as 1,793,806 people have received at least one shot, and of them, 1,682,093 have fully been vaccinated (49.82% of the adult population).

COVID-19 Update: 264 New Cases, 14 Deaths, 85 Patients on Ventilators

ZAGREB, 20 Sept 2021 - In the past 24 hours 264 coronavirus cases and 14 deaths have been registered in Croatia, the national COVID-19 crisis management team said on Monday.

There are 7,518 active cases and 695 hospitalized patients, including 85 on ventilators.

Croatia has registered 392,248 coronavirus cases to date, including 8,514 deaths and 376,216 recoveries, of which 1,018 in the past 24 hours.

A total of 20,966 persons are self-isolating.

To date, 2,730,993 persons have been tested for the virus, including 3,863 in the past 24 hours, and 43.93% of the population has been vaccinated, including 52.73% of adults, of whom 49.50% fully.

Croatia's Coronavirus Update: 1,369 New Cases, 628 Hospitalized Patients

ZAGREB, 16 Sept 2021 - In the last 24 hours, Croatia has conducted 10,743 coronavirus tests, and 12.8%, that is 1,369, have returned positive, and nine patients have died, raising the COVID-related death toll to 8,472, the national COVID-19 crisis management team reported on Thursday.

There are currently 7,643 active cases, including 628 hospitalized patients, and of them, 72 are placed on ventilators. Also, 17,051 are self-isolating.

Since the first registered case of the infection with this novel virus in Croatia on 25 February 2020,  nearly 2.7 million tests have been conducted, showing that 388,260 people have caught the virus, and of the 372,145 have recovered, including 754 recoveries in the last 24 hours.

Since the start of the vaccine rollout in the country, 43.64% of the total population, or 52.38% of the adult population have got vaccinated.

The statistics show that 49.17% of the adult population has been fully vaccinated.

Croatia's Coronavirus Update: 167 New Cases, 592 Hospitalized Patients, 751 Recoveries

ZAGREB, 13 Sept 2021 - In the last 24 hours, Croatia has conducted 3,871 coronavirus tests, and 167 have returned positive (4.3%), the national COVID-19 crisis management team reported on Monday.

There are currently 5,532 active cases, and 592 are hospitalized patients including 59 placed on ventilators.

In the last 24 hours, seven patients infected with coronavirus have died, raising the COVID-related death toll to 8,447.

Since the first registered case of the infection with this novel virus in Croatia, 384,082 people have caught the virus, and of them, 370,103 have recovered, including 751 recoveries in the last 24 hours.

To date, 43.37% of the total population, or 52.07% of the adult population have got vaccinated.
