Necktie Brand Croata Opens Museum Concept Store in Zadar

The luxury fashion brand Croata, mostly known for their neckties and scarves, recently opened their Museum Concept Store in Zadar, in the historic Cedulin palace located right at the entrance to Zadar's old town. The magical interior of the former residence of a noble Zadar family allows the brand to showcase the everlasting connection between fashion, tradition, and cultural heritage.

The interior design concept is such that once you enter the store, you just want to stay there a little bit longer, and while there, it feels like you're in a museum, and not in a fashion store. The Croata Museum Concept Store tells you the story of the history of the necktie, as it is well-known that Croatian soldiers were the ones who first wore neckties, and that the French popularised the accessory after seeing those soldiers wear them.

The Museum Concept Store also narrates the stories of many famous people from Zadar. Krešimir Ćosić, one of the greatest European basketball players of all times is one of them; Špiro Brusina, a famous scientist, zoologist and natural historian is also presented. As is the story which connects Zadar with one of the greatest movie hits of all times, The Sound of Music - the real-life navy captain Georg von Trapp, whose life story inspired the movie, was born in Zadar in 1880!

The store itself offers you the rhapsody of colours in silk scarves and neckties, as well as umbrellas, handbags and a wide range of fashion accessories and dress shirts for men and women. It wasn't easy to create a new cultural and tourist attraction in Zadar, but the Croata brand managed to do just that, by creating a store that promotes Zadar, Dalmatia and Croatia as an important part of the culture of the European continent.
