New Rules Coming for Film and Other Audiovisual Industries

ZAGREB, March 22, 2018 - The Croatian government on Thursday put forward to the parliament a bill on audiovisual activities that more precisely defines the model of selection and the scope of jurisdiction of members of the Croatian Audiovisual Centre (HAVC), including the Croatian Audiovisual Council that decides on the distribution of funds for the implementation of national programmes for promoting audio-visual creative work.

Rijeka European Capital of Culture 2020 Project Presented

ZAGREB, February 27, 2018 - On Tuesday, Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović held in her office a presentation of the project "Rijeka - European Capital of Culture 2020" for representatives of diplomatic missions and international organisations accredited in Croatia. The presentation was prepared by Rijeka City officials and the company "Rijeka 2020 d.o.o.", in charge of implementing the project.

Zagreb Soloists Chamber Orchestra Performs at Versailles

Culture Ministers of Croatia and Montenegro Discuss UNESCO Nomination

ZAGREB, February 5, 2018 – Montenegrin and Croatian culture ministers Aleksandar Bogdanović and Nina Obuljen Koržinek met in the Montenegrin coastal town of Kotor on Sunday to discuss Montenegro's application for the inclusion of the Bokeljska Mornarica maritime brotherhood on the UNESCO world cultural heritage list without specifying that it is the heritage of the Croatian people.
