Pride Parade Held in Split

ZAGREB, June 24, 2018 - The eighth edition of a march organised by local LGBT activists was held in the second biggest Croatian city of Split on Saturday, with some 300 participants taking part in the event, according to an estimate given by the organiser.

Foreign Embassies Call for Respecting LBGTI Rights

NGOs File Report against Kaštela Carnival Organiser

ZAGREB, February 6, 2018 - Three gay rights groups and a parenting association have filed a complaint against the organisers of a children's Carnival parade in Kaštela, near Split, because a picture book on same-sex families was burnt as the Carnival effigy in front of several hundred parents and children last Sunday.

Officials Condemn Burning of Picture Book about Same-Sex Families

ZAGREB, February 5, 2018 - Education Minister Blaženka Divjak and Children's Ombudswoman Helenca Pirnat Dragičević on Monday strongly condemned the burning of a picture book by the Dugine Obitelji association which speaks about children growing up in same-sex families, as an effigy at a children's carnival in the coastal town of Kaštela.

LGBT Group Sues Conservative NGO for Fraud

ZAGREB, January 19, 2018 - Domino, the Zagreb-based nongovernmental organisation promoting LGBT and queer agendas, has filed a criminal report against the nongovernmental organisation "In the Name of the Family" and its leader Željka Markić on suspicion that they withheld relevant information when applying for a three-year grant approved to it by the National Foundation for the Development of Civil Society.
