May 13, 2022 - Tomorrow morning at the FESB in Split, the two-day free DUMP Days 2022 conference opens its doors.
The organizers of the conference, members of the DUMP Association of Young Developers, are already recording unprecedented interest, both from sponsoring companies and from the visitors themselves.
Nino Borović, conference organizer and vice president of the DUMP Association of Young Developers, commented:
"We expect over 1,500 visitors to the conference, while the sponsorship capacities were filled to the brim," added Jere Mandušić, head of the sponsorship department: "The organization started half a year ago. We already agreed on all the sponsorships in March - 32 of them, but the companies kept contacting us with inquiries."
At a recent press conference, the young 'dumplings' were joined by people behind their sponsorship companies, among whom was the representative of the Rimac Technology office in Split, Miljenko Baković:
“I have to admit that the DUMP Days conference is at a desirable level. However, I would also like it to grow into something more than a student conference if there is interest."
Srdjan Podrug, dean of FESB and an honorary member of the Association, is thrilled that under the auspices of the faculty, this conference has experienced such growth.
As one of the largest city events in one of the fastest-growing industries globally, DUMP Days raises the reputation of universities worldwide, putting the pin on the map of all future IT events in Split.
All those interested can still apply through days.dump.hr. In addition to many sponsorship stands and lectures, visitors can also win a prize game with prizes such as Quest 2 VR, drones, smartwatches and many others.

May 3, 2022 - Dump Days 2022 returns on May 14 and 15 at the FESB in Split, bringing together the technological giants of the Croatian IT scene.
The DUMP Days conference, organized by members of the DUMP Association of Young Developers, has brought together the technological giants of the Croatian IT scene for six years. The free student conference will be held on May 14 and 15 at the FESB, and this year brings even more opportunities to share knowledge and experiences while networking.
"Finally, we return to the standard edition of the conference, which will be held live, but this time with 32 leading IT companies with offices in Croatia and more content than all previous editions. This May, FESB will once again become the center of the Croatian IT scene," said Nino Borović, conference organizer and vice president of the DUMP Association of Young Developers.
In addition to world-renowned sponsors, including Blank, Extension Engine, Photomath, and Rimac Technology, the conference will be joined by several prominent speakers who will cover the latest trends in tech, development, design, and marketing. Practical workshops are a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the most modern technologies and techniques used in the profession.
Ilija Brajković, Executive Director of Kontra Digital Agency and a lecturer at last year's DUMP Days, has only words of praise for the young organizers: “Regardless of the situation, the Association created a top conference. Excellent preparation, communication, and top support before and after the lecture make each lecturer's job much easier. In addition, the quality of the lectures and the content, in general, was top notch."
The sponsorship stands of the companies are open to all visitors and are located in the atrium of the faculty. Those seriously looking for a job in IT should sign up for Fly Talks. Short-speed dating interviews are ideal for presenting yourself and your resumes to employers! In addition to Fly Talks, there are also Campfire Talks, a mini panel discussion between several professionals and the audience.
“When the organization of a tech event is approached with professionalism that, due to such capacity, exceeds one hundred percent, the result is always spectacular, memorable, and contagious with positivity, knowledge, and expertise. So I'm coming again - and you as you wish," added Dragan Petric, IT expert and editor-in-chief of the BUG web portal magazine, who has participated in DUMP Days several times, and this year is leading a panel discussion.
On the second day of the conference, the prize draw winners will be announced. All participants who sign up for the DUMP Days app and collect points can take part in the hunt for valuable prizes such as Quest 2 VR, a drone, smartwatch, headphones and much more.
The conference doors are open to anyone who wants to step into the business world. Log on to days.dump.hr and join the new generation.

May 20, 2021 - The DUMP Association of Young Developers held another DUMP Days conference last weekend in Split.
As one of the largest IT conferences in this area, it brought together the Croatian IT community, but this time in an unprecedented hybrid edition. Partly at the Split FESB and partly online, the young 'dumpsters' successfully held a conference respecting epidemiological measures while bringing a lot of interesting content.
This year, DUMP Days, Dev, Design, Marketing, and Tech hosted all IT enthusiasts at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Naval Architecture. Thus, Split once again became the epicenter of the Croatian technology scene, enabling companies to meet young talent in one place.
Nebojsa Veron, DUMP alumni, and director of Blank Development said the following at Days 2021:
"As an alumni member who has been here since the beginning of the Association, I am glad that a project that has brought the Croatian IT scene together for years is still being realized. Not only is the DUMP Days conference a great way to promote a company, but it is an ideal way to connect with young talented staff. For regular Days attendees, the lack of hats from previous years is a little strange, but the team has done everything at a top level."
The program of this year's Days was rich and varied. The experts held a series of lectures and two-panel discussions that visitors watched online from their laptops from the comfort of their own homes. About how this year's online format was accepted, the numbers of dumpers can testify - 2000+ online followers and the maximum allowed number of appointments for live groups!
Obviously, people want to learn more about innovations in the world of digital technologies, and they are also interested in other people's life paths that could potentially inspire them in creating their own destinies.
Regarding the physical participation in the conference, with the support of the Crisis Center and compliance with all measures, all activities were held without incident. The schedule did not disappoint at all - from workshops led by top experts in their fields to fly talks where partly outdoors and partly online, young people would meet company representatives and thus gain insight into the necessary knowledge and skills to find a job in the IT sector. After all, numerous regional companies had their stands in the exhibition space and gave insight into the atmosphere and work in their offices.
“Congratulations to the organizers of DUMP Days 2021! Despite all the epidemiological measures, they managed to organize excellent workshops and prepare interesting lectures for us digital people. See you next year!" said the enthusiastic Lydia, a DUMP Days visitor.
On this occasion, the Dump organization wants to thank their visitors for their participation, respect for all measures, and understanding.

After days as a student, it is not at all easy to get started. DUMP Association of Young Developers realized that students are not well acquainted with what they will need to use in practice, so this conference is an ideal opportunity for students to be educated about current problems and market demands and get acquainted with IT companies, which offers the opportunity to make many quality acquaintances and business collaborations.

Those who are a little braver will not be disappointed by the schedule this year either. Fly talks will be held again - short one-on-one conversations between the student and the employer that provide insight into the knowledge and skills needed to find the ideal job in the IT sector. Of course, the difference from previous years is that these events will be in an online format!
Finally, several regional companies will showcase part of their work atmosphere and business culture in their showroom and allow visitors to find out all the information about their opportunities, whether in employment or internships. Although DUMP Days are a blend of education and business experience, the rich sweepstake is an integral part of the conference, so a relaxed atmosphere and fun will certainly not be lacking.
Josip Svalina
"This year, our primary goal is to bring the business world closer to students who see themselves in the IT sector, so we envisioned the conference as an event where representatives of the most prominent Croatian IT companies will be able to meet their future employees in an informal atmosphere and share key knowledge. For a successful career, in addition to the business side, the DUMP Days conference will introduce students to the various opportunities offered by the IT world and thus help them to be competent workers in those areas that interest them soon," said Alex Amanzi, one of the conference organizers.
The potential of the DUMP Days conference has always been recognized by a large number of IT companies in Croatia, which this year also provided assistance and support to the Association during the organization. Among them, the companies ExtensionEngine, Ericsson Nikola Tesla, and Fortuna Entertainment Group stand out. Many others, all of which are connected by the desire to improve the local IT community.
