January 11, 2022 - The latest flight news as 16 Norwegian flights to Croatia will run this summer to four Croatian airports.
Well-known Scandinavian low-cost airline Norwegian has announced 16 international scheduled flights from Scandinavia to four Croatian airports. This is a significant announcement, especially considering Norwegian's flight schedule to Croatia in the summer of 2021 and 2020, reports Croatian Aviation.
Namely, there are significantly more scheduled flights to Croatia than in the last two years. Before the pandemic, Norwegian had considerably more traffic to Croatian airports. Still, the flight schedule, apart from the pandemic and the sharp drop in demand, was also affected by financial problems before the coronavirus.
Norwegian 2022 Summer Flight Schedule:
Helsinki - Pula - Helsinki, once a week, Saturdays, from 04.06.,
Oslo - Pula - Oslo, twice a week, Wednesdays and Saturdays, from 04.06.,
Stockholm - Pula - Stockholm, once a week, Fridays, from 10.06.,
Bergen - Split - Bergen, three times a week, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, from 18.06.,
Copenhagen - Split - Copenhagen, twice a week, Tuesdays and Saturdays, from 03.05.,
Helsinki - Split - Helsinki, twice a week, Wednesdays and Saturdays, from 30.03.,
Oslo - Split - Oslo, once a week, Saturdays, from 16.04.,
Stavanger - Split - Stavanger, twice a week, Tuesdays and Saturdays, from 18.06.,
Stockholm - Split - Stockholm, twice a week, Wednesdays and Saturdays, from 04.05.,
Bergen - Dubrovnik - Bergen, once a week, Saturdays, from 18.06.,
Copenhagen - Dubrovnik - Copenhagen, once a week, Saturdays, from 02.04.,
Helsinki - Dubrovnik - Helsinki, twice a week, Tuesdays and Saturdays, from 03.05.,
Oslo - Dubrovnik - Oslo, twice a week, Tuesdays and Saturdays, from 04.06.,
Stavanger - Dubrovnik - Stavanger, twice a week, Wednesdays and Saturdays, from 18.06.,
Stockholm - Dubrovnik - Stockholm, once a week, Saturdays, from 07.05.,
Copenhagen - Zagreb - Copenhagen, twice a week, Wednesdays and Saturdays, from 25.06.
Norwegian remains focused on three Adriatic airports, while there are currently no announced flights to Rijeka, Zadar and Brač. In addition to Pula, Split and Dubrovnik, Norwegian plans to resume traffic on its seasonal line between Zagreb and Copenhagen, which should operate twice a week, from the end of June. Norwegian will use its B737-800 aircraft on these flights, which has a capacity of 189 seats.
In the peak summer season (July), Norwegian should have over 50 weekly flights to Croatian airports. However, the pandemic in Croatia and Scandinavian countries will undoubtedly influence the flight schedule in the coming months, especially at the beginning of the summer season.

April 7, 2021 - The latest flight news as travelers can choose from 14 Norwegian Air flights to Croatia this summer!
Croatian Aviation reports that Norwegian low-cost airline Norwegian Air plans to operate 14 routes to three Croatian airports this summer.
Norwegian plans to resume traffic to three Croatian airports from June this year; Pula, Split, and Dubrovnik. Before the outbreak of the global pandemic, the airline operated to Zadar, Rijeka, and Zagreb.
The airline had a minimal number of international lines to Croatia in the summer season of 2020. It is common knowledge that this low-cost carrier was in financial trouble even before the outbreak of the global pandemic. In January, there was news that this carrier would cancel all long-haul lines and focus on those within Europe.
In addition to being a pioneer in low-cost, long-haul lines, Norwegian had an extremely high-quality product, and passengers were delighted with the ratio of paid and received. One of the great marketing moves was the introduction of free internet on all Norwegian lines, but the rapid expansion led almost to its very collapse.
However, Norwegian is trying to consolidate and plans to operate to three Croatian airports, Pula, Split, and Dubrovnik, in this year's summer flight schedule. There has been no line to Rijeka or Zagreb for a long time.
Although in 2019 the number of routes to Croatian airports was significantly higher, given the current global situation, reduced passenger demand, and the state of this airline, 14 planned routes to Croatia for the summer of this year sounds more than good. Of course, given the movement of the global pandemic, there is a possibility that Norwegian will further reduce its flight schedule.
However, they have confirmed that they plan to operate on the routes below:
Oslo - Pula from June 2, 2 times a week, Wednesdays and Saturdays,
Bergen - Split from June 19, twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays,
Copenhagen - Split from June 1, 2 times a week, daily from June 28,
Helsinki - Split on June 2, 3 times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays,
Oslo - Split from June 1, 3 times a week, daily from June 25,
Stavanger - Split from June 22, 2 times a week, Tuesdays and Saturdays,
Stockholm - Split from June 2, 2 times a week, 5 times a week from June 21,
Trondheim - Split from June 19, once a week, on Saturdays,
Bergen - Dubrovnik from June 19, once a week, on Saturdays,
Copenhagen - Dubrovnik from June 26, twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays,
Helsinki - Dubrovnik from June 1, twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays,
Oslo - Dubrovnik from June 1, 2 times a week, daily from June 25,
Stavanger - Dubrovnik from June 19, once a week, on Saturdays,
Stockholm - Dubrovnik from June 12, 3 times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.
Given the problems that Norwegian has found itself in the past few years, it is quite difficult to expect that they will really operate on all of these lines. In the summer of 2020, Norwegian had only three routes to Croatia, two to Split, and one to Dubrovnik. With the current epidemiological situation in Europe, we can hardly expect a sharp increase in passenger demand in June. There are less than two months left until its first flight to Croatia.

July 21, 2020 - The latest news from around Croatia’s airports for flights to Croatia with updates from Zagreb, Split, Dubrovnik, Zadar, Rijeka, Osijek, and Pula.
Croatian Aviation reports that well-known low-cost airline Norwegian Air, which operated on a number of routes to destinations in Croatia last summer, is announcing four international routes for August this year.
During the summer, Norwegian flew from Croatia to numerous destinations in Europe, mainly to destinations in Scandinavia, but also from Spain and Great Britain. Almost all lines have been canceled, and the company will operate on only four lines to Croatia in August:
Split - Oslo, twice a week in August, every Wednesday and Saturday,
Split - Copenhagen, once a week, from July 25, every Saturday,
Split - Stockholm, once a week, from July 25, every Saturday,
Dubrovnik - Oslo, once a week through August, every Saturday.
These are significantly fewer flights and weekly departures on existing ones, but the company was in financial trouble even before the outbreak of the pandemic, so it has radically reduced its flight schedule due to the current crisis.
Croatian Aviation also reports that from August, Eurowings will operate to 6 airports in Croatia with 32 weeks of flights from destinations in Germany.
Eurowings established traffic to Croatia in May, and since then, it has been increasing the number of weekly flights and routes to Croatian airports every month. Compared to this month, when Eurowings operates 23 weekly flights to Croatia, from August, there will be nine more for a total of 32.
Most lines, as usual, will be from six German destinations to Split Airport:
Hamburg - Split, instead of the previous two, will run three flights a week (Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays),
Stuttgart - Split, instead of the previous two, will run four flights a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays),
Dusseldorf - Split, instead of the previous three, will run five flights a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, Saturdays twice a day),
Cologne - Split, instead of the previous five, will run four flights a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays),
Hanover - Split line is reintroduced, once a week, every Saturday, from August 1,
Berlin - Split line is reintroduced, once a week, every Saturday, from 1 August.
As for Zagreb Airport, it will continue to be connected to two destinations, Cologne and Stuttgart, but the number of weekly flights on both routes will increase:
Cologne - Zagreb, instead of the previous three, will run four flights a week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays),
Stuttgart - Zagreb, instead of the previous two, will run four flights a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays).
The lines Dusseldorf - Pula, Hamburg - Rijeka and Cologne - Zadar will continue to operate as in July, with one flight per week. Two already existing lines to Rijeka and Zadar will work more often than in July:
Dusseldorf - Rijeka, instead of the current one, will operate twice a week (Saturdays and Sundays),
Stuttgart - Zadar, instead of the previous two, will run three times a week (Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays).
The line to Osijek is being re-introduced, and it will also be the only regular international line from this airport. The Stuttgart - Osijek line will operate once a week, every Sunday, from August 2 on the A319 aircraft.
Eurowings has not announced traffic to Dubrovnik, making it the only airport in Croatia that hasn't re-established regular traffic.

From July 4, Norwegian will fly again on the Oslo - Split route, twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays,
From the same date, the company plans to establish the Stockholm - Split line, only once a week in July, on Saturdays.
From July 28, the Oslo - Dubrovnik line will be introduced, twice a week, on Tuesdays and Sundays.
At the end of July and the beginning of August, the introduction of more international routes to these two Croatian airports is expected, as well as the return of the company to Pula.
Furthermore, Croatian Aviation reports that British Airways will re-launch international routes in July, including three destinations in Croatia.
Although they planned flights to Croatia at one point even for June, this did not happen, mainly due to restrictions imposed by the UK government.
At the moment, 14-day self-isolation after arrival in the UK is still mandatory, but companies based in the UK are putting pressure on the authorities to lift this restriction, which would greatly facilitate the re-establishment of air traffic.
According to current information, British Airways intends to launch three routes to Croatia from July, to Zagreb, Split and Dubrovnik.
London (Heathrow) - Zagreb, from July 9, three times a week, on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays,
London (Heathrow) - Split, from July 9, four times a week, on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays,
London (Gatwick) - Dubrovnik, from 16 July, three times a week, on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
London (Heathrow) - Pula line is not yet announced for this year's summer flight schedule.
