July 31, 2020 - Following the recent Webby awards, the digital “Oscar” in the web design category, Human has won another prestigious international award for its website, for the seventh time in a row, this time for excellence in design.
Red Dot is one of the world's most famous awards for excellence in design awarded by a jury of 24 world design experts once a year, and it has been going on for more than 65 years now. This most sought after global quality label in design, this year went to the Croatian Human for their website, in the Brand Communication & Design category. The award is even more significant when considering the fact that last year’s winners are companies like Sony, which won the award for their gaming platform Playstation, KIA Motors for the KIA Ceed website, and Google for their Store.
Good design is more than just a visual impression. It is a combination of communication, aesthetics, and the experience that the user experiences when using a product, and the Human website, which combines various elements, from attractive photos to interesting texts, confirmed this thesis and won the praise of the jury.
The latest award, Red Dot, is already the seventh award in a row that Human has won for its website, the most awarded in Croatia. In addition to the two recently won Webby Awards, they are proud holders of the Lovie, W3, CSS Winner and Mixx awards, confirming that, in addition to website development, they are also recognised internationally when it comes to creativity and design.
“Our Human story started about a year ago. During the first presentation of the website alone, it was clear to us that we did a good job, which has been confirmed by international awards that help us create recognition and open opportunities for some new, interesting collaborations. Red Dot is the crown of our work so far because being in the company of the world's greatest innovators such as Apple, Ferrari, Siemens, BMW and other big players who have moved their products and design for the better, is a great honour and confirmation that we're doing creative and innovative things”, said Vanja Bertalan, CEO of Humana.
Due to its reputation, Red Dot, often called the "Oscar" for design, often is used as a reference when it comes to the latest design trends, so this world-renowned award also confirms the innovation and global competitiveness of Croatian design.
Prizes will be awarded to the winners at the Red Dot Gala in Berlin on October 23, 2020. During the same evening, the awarded works will be exhibited at an exclusive exhibition and will be able to be seen in the book International Yearbook Communication Design 2019/2020.

July 17, 2020 - Croatian design has confirmed its international reputation with two Red Dot awards conferred on Croatia's Bruketa&Žinić&Grey for the Grand Park Hotel Rovinj design and the Untouched by Light sparkling wine packaging.
The Red Dot Award is the world’s most sought-after design quality label, recalls this leading Croatian advertising and design agency. The Red Dot seal has been awarded for 65 years, and to date, Bruketa&Žinić&Grey have won 21 Red Dot Awards in total. Bruketa&Žinić&Grey made the Grand Park Hotel Rovinj brand design in collaboration with Maistra.
"It is created from sketches and notes made by hotel guests. Instead of another screen, every hotel room features a notebook and a Polaroid camera. With a pocket-size notebook, the hotel sends you off to explore Rovinj, to lose and find yourself there – as these days it is the ultimate luxury," according to the information available on the Bruketa&Žinić&Grey website. Untouched by Light was created in cooperation with Radgonske Gorice. "It is the first sparkling wine in the world produced, sold, and tasted in pitch darkness. When exposed to daylight, the wine loses its aroma quality. That is why Untouched by Light is produced in the complete absence of light."
November 9, 2019 - Rovinj studios Tumpic/Prenc and Delta Reality have taken home prestigious international work for their design work in Croatia.
Glas Istre reports that at the prestigious Red Dot Design Awards held on November 1st in the luxurious space of the Konzerthaus Berlin, Studio Tumpic/Prenc of Rovinj took home the trophy for their bottle design of Istrian olive oil "Latini". Shortly afterwards, on November 4, during one of the world's largest travel fairs, the World Travel Market, Digital Reality Studio "Delta Reality" was crowned the gold for the “Witch Mare's House” project at the International Travel & Tourism Awards 2019, and in the category of most innovative use of technology.
“These awards are a great indicator that Croatian companies are creating projects that can not only compete on the international stage but also be winners. We have proved this in Berlin and London, to which we are very grateful to them for recognizing our work. This is a confirmation that we are heading in the right direction, that we are innovative, creative and above all - an excellent team,” said Anselmo Tumpic, director and co-founder of the Rovinj studio.
The team, including creative director Anselmo Tumpic, account director Sara Prenc Opacic, and Anton Licul Grk, received the Red Dot Award in front of about 1,400 guests from around the world.
The gala evening program was led by the founder and CEO of the Red Dot Awards, Peter Zec, while the award was presented by the commission member, Sylvia Vitale Rotta, who has previously served as design chair of the Eurobest jury, the Cannes Lions, and was a member of the jury in Dubai Lynx.
It is an award that recognizes the high quality of design and the creative achievements of designers and their companies, and a jury of 24 international experts awarded only 0.8 percent of applicants. Among the best was the Latini olive oil bottle, boasting a plaid shirt motif on the packaging as a sort of homage to their ancestors, and a pocket in which a piece of paper with a centuries-old family story was sealed.
This year's winning works were then exhibited for only one evening, so that the guests could be convinced of the quality of the awarded brands and their works. The exhibition will be moved to the Berlin "Communication Museum" where it will be open to the public until January 12, 2020.
A few days later and about 1,000 kilometers away, the creative studio Tumpic/Prenc and the Digital Reality Studio "Delta Reality" surpassed the tourist superpower of Spain with their project of the small Istrian town, Svetvincenat. Not only did they make it to the finals, but they introduced themselves in front of the key stakeholders of the international tourism and travel sectors.
“Receiving an international award in the ‘Most Innovative Use of Technology’ category is a huge recognition of the continued effort and persistence that Delta Reality's young team invests every day. Since we have worked at many international visitor centers and museums over the past year, we are especially proud to have won with the Croatian project, representing Croatia on multiple levels,” said Delta Reality Director and co-founder Darian Skarica.
