ZAGREB, January 31, 2018 - The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has upheld the indictments against 11 former members of the Croatian Defence Council (HVO) for war crimes against Bosniaks, committed as part of a joint criminal enterprise in the Mostar area in 1993 and 1994, the news website Dnevnik.ba said on Wednesday.

ZAGREB, January 30, 2018 - The president of the Bosnian Serb entity of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, has been included on the 2018 list of persons barred from entering the United States, along with numerous war crimes convicts as well as people Washington considers to be problematic due to other reasons, such as retired Croatian generals Ljubo Ćesić Rojs or Stanko Sopta.

ZAGREB, January 29, 2018 - The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has ruled that Croatia did not "violate the right to life" because it conducted an efficient investigation into the circumstances of the death of a man identified by his initials P.M. at Žegar near Obrovac, in the south of the country, in the course of Croatia's military and police operation Storm on 5 August 1995.

ZAGREB, January 29, 2018 - Disputes about the number of victims of the World War II Ustasha-run concentration camp Jasenovac are the best proof of the importance of establishing a precise register of victims of the 1991-2001 wars in the former Yugoslavia to prevent manipulation and different interpretations of those events for daily political purposes, participants in the Transitional Justice Forum said in Sarajevo on Monday.

ZAGREB, January 19, 2018 - The chairman of the Commission for Military Decorations and Honours, retired general Marijan Mareković, said on Friday that the commission had to date not received any requests to strip the six Bosnian Croats of their decorations, who were sentenced by the UN war crimes tribunal for ex-Yugoslavia for war crimes in a 1993 Croat-Bosniak conflict.

ZAGREB, January 18, 2018 - Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, who was on a two-day official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, on Thursday stopped at the villages of Ahmiži and Križančevo Selo in central Bosnia and Herzegovina, to pay tribute to war victims of the Croat-Bosniak conflict in 1993.

The President says she will not do it.

Praljak was recently convicted of war crimes by the Hague Tribunal, after which he committed suicide in the courtroom.

''It isn't clear to me why there are dilemmas about our statements on the verdict,'' said Andrej Plenković at today’s government session.

The Croatian Prime Minister claims there was no change in government’s position on the recent war crimes verdict.
