Zagreb Stock Exchange Indices Slump at End of Week

ZAGREB, 4 March (2022) - The main Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) indices slumped again on Friday, after yesterday's brief recovery, thus increasing the loss on the week to about 4.5%, which is a consequence of the pressure of the Ukrainian crisis on the world stock market, as well as the domestic one.

The Crobex fell by 1.94% on Friday, to 1,946 points, its lowest level since August 2021. At the same time, the Crobex10 dropped by 1.86% to 1,176 points, its lowest level since April 2021.

All sector indices went down, and the construction index saw the biggest decline, of 2.87%.

Domestic indices thus followed the negative trends on European stock markets, which saw sharp declines, while investors follow the news on the war in Ukraine and assess the possible effects of that war on the world economy.

The Crobex indices also registered significant losses on the week for the third consecutive week. Compared with the beginning of the week, the Crobex fell by 4.69% and the Crobex10 by 4.5%.

Regular turnover amounted to HRK 14 million, or half a million less than on Thursday. Another HRK 23 million was generated by a block transaction with the HT telecom stock at HRK 184 per share.

The highest turnover, of nearly HRK 1.8 million, was generated by the stock of the Croatian Postal Bank (HPB). Its prices dropped by 2.37% to HRK 825.

Atlantska Plovidba turned over HRK 1.41 million, closing at HRK 412 per share, down 2.83%.

The stock of the Span IT company turned over HRK 1.4 million, closing at HRK 185.5, down 0.8%.

The price of the Ericsson Nikola Tesla stock also recorded a significant decline, by 3.7% to HRK 1,705 per share. It generated a turnover of HRK 1.26 million.

A total of 45 stocks traded on the ZSE today, with 10 gaining and 23 losing in price, while 12 were stable.

ZSE Indices Sink by Over 1%

ZAGREB, 22 Feb 2022 - The main Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) indices fell sharply on Tuesday, by more than one percent, amid increased turnover, following the trends on European stock markets, which were deep in the red most of the day due to growing tensions between the West and Russia over Ukraine.

The Crobex dropped by 1.23% to 2,099 points, and the Crobex10 sank by 1.37% to 1,275 points.

All sectoral indices fell, with the industry index decreasing the most, by 3.65%.

Regular turnover amounted to HRK 9.5 million, about HRK 4.2 million more than on Monday. Another HRK 9.3 million was generated by a block transaction with HT telecom shares at HRK 186 per share.

In regular trading, the HT stock turned over HRK 955,000, closing at HRK 186 per share, down 0.53%.

The highest turnover, of HRK 1.25 million, was generated by the stock of the Span IT company, which closed at HRK 216 per share, up 0.47%.

Forty-eight stocks traded today, with 13 gaining and 31 losing in price, while four were stable.

Zagreb Stock Exchange Indices End Week in Red

ZAGREB, 18 Feb 2022 - The main Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) dropped for the second consecutive day on Friday, the Crobex by 0.8% to 2,121 points, and the Crobex10 by 0.99% to 1,289 points.

The indices also ended the week in the red, with the Crobex falling by 2.01% and the Crobex10 by 2.25%.

All sector indices fell today, and the transport index saw the biggest decrease, of 2.6%.

Regular turnover amounted to HRK 6.6 million, or about HRK 2.8 million less than on Thursday.

The most traded stock was Hrvatska Poštanska Banka, which turned over HRK 948,000, its price stagnating at HRK 790.

A total of 44 stocks traded today, with eight of them registering price increases, 21 recording price decreases, and 15 stagnating in price.

ZSE Indices Make Up for Some of Monday Losses

ZAGREB, 15 Feb 2022 - The main Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) indices rose mildly on Tuesday, compensating for yesterday's sharp declines, owing to the recovery of prices on European stock markets following the easing of geopolitical tensions regarding Ukraine, however, the turnover was half the turnover on Monday.

The Crobex rose by 0.47% to 2,132 points while the Crobex10 gained 0.31% to 1,298 points, making up for yesterday's loss of close to 2%.

Regular turnover was HRK 5.3 million, around 5 million less than on Monday.

The highest turnover, of HRK 970,000, was generated by the Atlantic Group, whose stock price rose by 0.57% to HRK 1,770 per share.

Thirty-seven stocks traded today, with 20 rising in price, seven going down and 10 remaining stable.

ZSE Crobex Rises For Three Days In Row

ZAGREB, 8 Feb 2022 - The Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) Crobex index rose by 0.44% to 2,141 points on Tuesday, thus being on the rise for three straight working days, and the specialised Crobex10 rebounded by 0.3% to 1,305 points after a mild dip on Monday. Broken down by sectors, the industrial index increased 2.75%, and the only one to weaken today was Crobexturist, which fell by 0.61%. The ZSE saw a turnover of 6.2 million kuna on Tuesday, 3.2 million more than the day before. The only stock that crossed the million kuna mark in trading was the Atlantska Plovidba shipping company, HRK 2.33 million. The price of its shares jumped by 2.96% to HRK 418. Forty-five stocks traded today, with 25 increasing and 10 decreasing in price, while another 10 were stable. (€1 = HRK 7.526770)

ZSE Crobex Up For 3 Straight Days, HT With Largest Share Buyback Transaction

ZAGREB, 1 Feb 2022 - The Zagreb Stock Exchange Crobex index rose 0.60% to 2,145.45 points and the specialised Crobex10 grew 0.37% to 1,306.33 points on Tuesday. 

Today's turnover totalled HRK 7.5 million, or 3.6 million more than on Monday.

ZSE block trading marked by HT share buyback transaction

Today the Croatian Telecom (HT) stated that it "has executed the largest share buyback transaction in its history," which amounted to 81.6 million kuna, or HRK 183 per share.

"Our share buyback strategy clearly demonstrates our strong focus on value creation to our shareholders," the HT says, adding that now it "holds in total 866,830 treasury shares, representing 1.082894% of the Company’s issued share capital. Share capital amounts to HRK 10,244,977,390.25, and is divided into 80,047,509 shares without nominal value."

Forty-four stocks traded today, with 15 gaining and 13 losing in price, while 16 were stable.

ZSE: Crobex Indices Up

ZAGREB, 28 Jan 2022 - The main Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) indices went up on Friday, the Crobex by 0.09% to 2,125 points and the Crobex10 by 0.27% to 1,296 points.

Regular turnover was HRK 4.6 million, about 1.5 million less than on Thursday.

The most traded stock and the only one to cross the million kuna mark was Atlantska Plovidba shipping company, which turned over HRK 1.14 million. It closed at HRK 387 per share, up 4.03%.

Thirty-seven stocks traded today, with 15 increasing and 12 decreasing in price, while ten were stable.

ZSE Main Indices Fall Amid Low Turnover

ZAGREB, 27 Jan 2022 - The main Zagreb Stock Exchange indices decreased on Thursday, the Crobex by 1.09% to 2,123.83 points and the Crobex10 by 1.08% to 1,292.84 points.

Regular turnover was HRK 6.12 million, 1.3 million less than on Wednesday.

The most traded stock was Atlantska Plovidba, turning over a little over HRK 1 million. It closed at HRK 372 per share, up 0.54%.

Forty-seven stocks traded today, with ten going up and 26 down in price, while 11 were stable.

ZSE Indices Dip

ZAGREB, 20 Jan 2022 - The main Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) indices ended their positive run on Thursday, with the Crobex shedding 0.33% to close at 2,205 points and the Crobex10 falling by 0.16% to 1,340 points.

The Crobex ended its 19-day winning streak during which it had gained 9% in total, while the Crobex10 had been on the rise for eight consecutive trading days.

Turnover at the close of the trading session was HRK 12.86 million, which is 2.9 million higher than on Wednesday. A further HRK 23.26 million was generated by a block transaction with shares of the Span IT company at HRK 212 per share.

Four stocks passed the turnover mark of one million kuna.

The stock of the HT telecommunications company turned over HRK 2.8 million, its price stagnating at HRK 185.5 per share.

The Podravka food company saw its share price drop by 0.57% to HRK 696, turning over HRK 2.35 million.

The stock of telecommunications equipment manufacturer Ericsson Nikola Tesla turned over HRK 1.83 million, closing at HRK 1,995 per share, down 1.72%.

The stock of the Atlantska Plovidba shipping company turned over HRK 1.16 million. Its price fell by 2.12% to HRK 369 per share.

Forty stocks traded today, with 13 of them registering price increases, 19 recording price decreases, and 8 stagnating in price.

ZSE Indices Inch Up

ZAGREB, 4 Jan 2022 - The main Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) indices increased again on Tuesday, the Crobex for the ninth and the Crobex10 for the sixth consecutive trading day, and regular turnover was modest with only one stock crossing the million kuna mark.

On Tuesday, the Crobex went up by 0.14% to 2,131 points, while the Crobex10 inched up by 0.03% to 1,292 points, with both indices hitting new high records since March 2017 after gaining 19.6% and 16% respectively in 2021 and jumping by more than 2% on the first trading day of 2022.

Regular turnover was a mere HRK 5.78 million, or HRK 5.4 million less than on Monday.

However, another HRK 73.6 million was generated in block transactions with the stock of the Adris insurance and tourism group at HRK 460 per share.

In the regular session, the only stock to cross the million kuna mark in turnover was the Atlantska Plovidba shipping company, which turned over HRK 1.36 million, closing at HRK 402 per share, up 0.5%.

In terms of price rise, today's biggest performer was the stock of the Đuro Đaković Group, which soared by 35.68% to HRK 3.08 per share.

Earlier on Tuesday, Economy and Sustainable Development Minister Tomislav Ćorić said that the Đuro Đaković Group now had prospects and that this Slavonski Brod-based mechanical engineering company could become a regional center to service Bradley fighting vehicles.

Ćorić is pleased that the plan for the overhaul of the group had been given a green light by the European Commission.

A total of 43 stocks were traded today, with 25 of them registering price increases, 10 recording price decreases, and eight remaining stables in price.
