MAGfestival - International Chamber Music Festival

MAGfestival - International Chamber Music Festival will take place for the sixth time in the organization of the Association of young academic musicians (MAG) and the Split City Museum (Muzej Grada Splita). This year, the MAGfestival has gained the recognition of the European Festival Association (EFA) by getting the "Europe for Festivals, Festivals for Europe" (EFFE) Festival Label based on originality of the project.

The MAG association was founded in 2010 as a desire to gather a large number of young academically educated musicians from the wider area of Split city. Previous editions of the MAGfestival attracted great attention of the Split audience as well as foreign guests (approx. 130 per concert) and numerous Croatian and regional media.

This year, there will be 6 recitals by reputable and renowned Croatian and international chamber ensembles, just as bands that are just on the way of getting reputable and renowned. Tickets for individual evenings, as well as for the whole festival will be available at the reception desk of the Museum of the Split City.

Trio MIG (Gordan Tudor - saxophone, John Batoš - piano and Goran Jurković - saxophone)

Sunday (August 30) - Mandolin through the ages

Sunday (August 31) - Festival Ensemble composed of members of the MAG Association and their guests

Sunday (September 2) - Zagreb Guitar Quartet
Tomislav Vasilj, Krunoslav Pehar, Melita Ivkovic and Francis Verbanac - guitar)

Saturday (September 5) - Kairos Trio (Lucia Mandic - violin, Robert Burin - cello and Kristina Cvitanić - piano)

Sunday (September 6) - Pegasos String Quartet (Germany) and Ivana Stimac (piano)
