Rijeka to Get New Accessible Beach by This Summer

Rijeka is about to get its second wheelchair-accessible beach, namely at Ploče beach in Kantrida. An adaptation project of the western plateau of Ploče beach, including the new wheelchair ramp design, is currently in development. As stated by the City of Rijeka, a working meeting was held by the city officials and representatives of local associations of persons with disabilities. Rijeka Deputy Mayor Goran Palčevski said the implementation of the project is underway, and that one of its goals is to relieve the pressure on Kostanj beach, the only other beach in Rijeka which was purposely designed to be wheelchair-accessible.…

Croatia Airlines International Zagreb Flights Could be Restored by 2022 Summer

Zagreb Tourism Numbers Very Encouraging for January 2022

February the 11th, 2022 - Zagreb tourism numbers appear to be on the rise as the world slowly begins to emerge from the global coronavirus pandemic. 2022's maiden month of January has shown some encouraging growth in terms of overnight stays for the Croatian capital. Krka National Park to Introduce New Entrance in Šibenik

Croatia Records Increased Tourism Numbers Despite Surge in COVID-19 Infections

ZAGREB, 8 Feb 2022 - A total of 178,700 tourists visited Croatia in January 2022 and generated 586,300 overnight stays which, despite the surge in coronavirus infections, are increases of 89% and 71% respectively compared with January 2021, the Croatian Tourist Board (HTZ) said in response to a query from Hina. Compared with January of the record 2019, the number of tourist arrivals was about 17% lower and the number of overnight stays was only 1.5% lower.
