November 25, 2022 - The company Futura Partners announced their acquisition of the Bagatin Medical Group from Ognjen Bagatin yesterday.
With this, the company Futura Partners, which took over the luxury interior design company Sinago this summer, entered the health sector. The Futura Partners company was founded by local Croatian entrepreneurs and businessmen with the aim of investing in small and medium-sized Croatian companies with great growth potential. The partners are the IT professionals Luka Abrus Fijačko and Ivan Gabrić, economists Berislav Horvat and Filip Jelić, lawyers Josip Konjevod and Zlatko Knezović and entrepreneurs Saša Cvetojević and Ognjen Bagatin. Bagatin Medical Group, which they acquired yesterday, includes Sinteza Clinic, Fides Clinic and the online dermo-cosmetics store Bagatin Beauty.
"Private healthcare is one of the areas that is experiencing great growth at the regional and global level. People in Croatia are increasingly looking for a faster and better service than the one currently offered by public healthcare. Additionally, in Europe, our country is becoming an increasingly desirable destination when it comes to health tourism. Although Croatia is well connected with the rest of the continent by airlines, our private healthcare primarily offers its services to people who live within a radius of 600 kilometers, i.e. in an area with 76 million people. In addition to the potential that private healthcare has, it is attractive to investors because of its resilience. Despite the challenges brought by the new economic crisis, clients' need for health services remains constant," said Filip Jelić, a partner in the company Futura Partners.
In this transaction, Ognjen Bagatin sold the company Bagatin Medical Group in its entirety, and now as a partner and director in Futura Partners he continues to run the Sinteza clinic and Fides clinic, and the Bagatin Beauty online store. "I am glad that I will be able to continue to lead this great team of doctors and other health personnel and employees in the supporting departments. The acquisition is a kind of confirmation of quality and an incentive to use the potential at our disposal. It will enable us to further develop, especially the improvement of technology, the education of employees and a new increase in the quality of services for our patients and clients. Sinteza Clinic has gained a huge amount of experience in the 15 years it's been around. In addition to the branches of medicine in which we are already well known, we are now additionally developing gynaecology, dermatology and cosmetology. Fides in Split is one of the few neurorobotic polyclinics in the region. It gives us the best insight into the future of medicine. The quality of treatment and rehabilitation will be influenced by the synergy of the expertise of doctors and highly sophisticated technology", Ognjen Bagatin pointed out.
As stated in today's announcement, Futura Partners is currently dedicated to managing the acquired companies, i.e. increasing their revenues. At the same time, they continue to monitor small and medium-sized companies in Croatia, especially those in manufacturing, as well as those in private healthcare that need the transfer of ownership and management. This transfer is necessary for companies that were founded in the 90s, but also for younger ones whose owners are aware that they cannot raise the company's operations to a higher level on their own, Futura Partners conclude.

December 2, 2021 - A deeper look into the Bagatin VISIA Analysis and why it was exactly what my skin needed.
Something about being in your early 30s awakens a wellness side of you that didn't quite exist before. At least not during your far-more careless 20s.
Your age also becomes slightly more visible after you enter this new decade, with lines forming in places you once believed your skin would never see. I now understand why my godfather begged me to stop being so animated with my face when I was 10 - "because those lines will stay." I should have listened.
But laugh lines don't worry me that much anymore. Sure, they're more prevalent at 31 than at 28, but they also add character (so I kid myself).
However, I was more interested in seeing what kind of shape my skin was in, given a long history of issues, from acne in my teens to early 20s to learning I had rosacea at 25. It had been too long since I had visited a dermatologist, so before booking a treatment that would set me back 100 euros and may or may not be suitable for my skin, I decided to visit the best and dig deep into all of my skin's layers with the Bagatin VISIA Analysis.
Located in the Dioklecijan Hotel & Residence building, Bagatin Polyclinic confirmed its status as the best dermatological clinic in Europe in 2018 by opening a Split location in January 2019, guaranteeing the best possible approach, staff expertise, and state-of-the-art technological equipment for all skin changes, but also in erasing signs of aging. This new clinic brings Croatia's best wellness sanctuary to Splićani without having to trek to Zagreb. And I am so happy they're just a 10-minute walk from my house.
So, what is this Bagatin VISIA Analysis anyway?
At Polyclinic Bagatin, we provide our clients individual consultation and analysis with the help of the advanced digital skin analysis system VISIA. This scientific approach uses a perfected imaging system combined with direct consultations with one of our medical experts. The VISIA skin analysis system's results help create a framework for any treatment programme, adjusted for each client.
Knowing your unique skin profile is the first step towards complexion health and vitality. VISIA can determine the state of your skin, both on the surface and underneath it. The multispectral image and analysis from the VISIA system give a clear, multidimensional insight into the individual aspects of your complexion, which affects your overall look and serves as a guide in a personalized skin treatment programme.
Namely, the VISIA system uses multispectral imaging and analysis to look deeper into six areas - wrinkles, spots, pores, complexion evenness (variations of complexion color), porphyrins (presence of bacteria in pores), and UV spots (photodamage characteristics and typical for excess exposure to sun).
VISIA also gives a thorough analysis of your complexion compared to other women in their database containing thousands of profiles. The analysis itself takes a few minutes, as the machine takes photos of the left, front, and right sides of your face. The Bagatin specialists then suggest the best treatments and skincare regimens right for you.
I met with Daniela (yes, we share the same, which made the experience all the more fun) for my analysis, who shared an incredible amount of expertise into skin issues, especially about issues I thought had passed. For example, learning that my true skin age was essentially right on target (phew) but that my poor skin is extremely dehydrated due to various conditions (rosacea, broken capillaries, and inflammation, all of which should be treated soon) was incredibly eye-opening. Learning that most of these fine lines will likely vanish after taking the proper care was also an enormous relief.
I spent over 30 minutes with Daniela, who explained each intricate detail, from natural tips to treat problem areas and products I should stop using now based on my skin type. She even advised against using cotton pads or makeup remover wipes as they can be too abrasive for my sensitive skin.
The overall experience, while humbling, was perhaps the biggest surprise I've had in my 30s so far - in a good way. Daniela created a treatment plan she thinks would help my skin issues, with pricing explained and products to follow ONLY IF my skin takes to them during the treatment.
Daniela's patience and non-pushy attitude made me want to book my next appointment ASAP, though it's probably best I wait until the holiday season ends to get the best results.
Bagatin, you've certainly earned your status as the best dermatological clinic in Europe.

November 28, 2021 - The 2021 MBA Croatia Awards were held at the Westin Hotel in Zagreb to honor those that most promote and live MBA Croatia values.
Celebrating a successful year, MBA Croatia traditionally presented awards to those we believe most promote and live MBA Croatia values. This year we held our awards ceremony in the Crystal Hall of the Westin Hotel. The awards were presented at the traditional MBA Croatia Gala evening.
As every year, the MBA Croatia Gala dinner had an educational character and two lectures were held. Krešimir Profaca, President of the MBA Croatia Association, gave an introductory lecture where he spoke about the work of the MBA Croatia Association and the role of MBA Croatia in the development of leadership in society. The main lecture was given by Francois Delion, CEO of Renault Nissan Adriatic with a very current topic on how the automotive industry can contribute to reducing CO2 emissions.
MBA Croatia awards were given to Sergio Galošić (CEO of Klimaoprema dd), Dajana Mrčela (President of the Management Board of Saponia d.d.), Damir Sabol (founder of Photomath), Miroslav Vrankić (founder of E-GLAS), and Lada Tedeschi Fiorio (member of the Atlantic Grupa board).
At the MBA Croatia Awards in Zagreb, the MBA Croatia Association traditionally awarded prizes to people whose work and commitment were recognized in 2021.
"Recognitions awarded by the MBA Croatia association are recognitions given by our members. By selecting candidates and awarding prizes, we try to give encouragement to all those who have done something good in the categories for which we award prizes", explained Krešimir Profaca, President of MBA Croatia at the introductory lecture.
The award in the Category Manager of the Year was given to Sergio Galošić, executive director of Klimaoprema d.d.
''It is a great honor and pleasure for me that my colleagues have chosen me as the winner of the award. What is behind this award is a lot of sacrifice and stress. In this regard, I am especially pleased to receive this award from colleagues who understand what it takes to succeed. I would like to dedicate this award to all employees of Klimaoprema and my team, without whom this would not be possible'' said Sergio Galošić. The award was presented on behalf of the association by Ivan Franičević, a member of the presidency of MBA Croatia.
The Business Woman of the Year award was given to Ms. Dajani Mrčela, CEO of Saponia d.d.
"I am extremely honored to be the winner of this award. When I received the notification, I felt great pride that the profession recognized me and my work. This is a special honor for me and I would like to thank MBA Croatia, my team, and everyone else" said Dajana Mrčela.
Promoting diversity, along with excellence, ethics, and responsibility is one of the main values of the MBA Croatia association. The association brings together business people with an MBA degree and other leaders who promote the values of the association. Its mission is to inspire in creating a better and more advanced society. The award for Business Woman of the Year was presented on behalf of the association by Stephanie Trpkov, a member of the presidency of the MBA Croatia association.
Damir Sabol, the founder of Photomath, received an award for connecting science and business. MBA Croatia awarded this award to Mr. Sabol for his continuous work on promoting science in business.
"I am especially glad to receive this award from the group of leaders gathered by the MBA Croatia association. At this time, we have the opportunity to participate in the world market with our knowledge and work, and we should make the most of it'' said Damir Sabol.
The MBA Croatia award for social contribution through business in 2021 goes to Miroslav Vrankić, the founder of the company E-GLAS, which is making life easier for people with disabilities.
''It is a great honor to receive this award. E-VOICE has been around for 20 years and helps children with speech difficulties. This award is a confirmation that we are doing a good job and an incentive to continue even better" said Miroslav Vrankic. This award was presented to Mr. Vrankić by Ognjen Bagatin, Deputy President of MBA Croatia.
One of the most important activities of the MBA Croatia association is the transfer and dissemination of knowledge, and we do this through our lectures, workshops and other educational and networking events. That is why the award for the best lecture is extremely important and we are proud that the members of MBA Croatia have chosen a member of the management board of Atlantic Grupa, Mrs. Lada Tedeschi Fiorio as the winner of this award.
''I don't know how to thank everyone. I am especially glad that the award came from people who value knowledge, who want to progress, and who are interested in further development. Maybe it's because I've shown what it's like to be a manager and to be a leader, I've been able to reach people so much" said Lada Tedeschi Fiorio.
The award for the best lecture was presented by a member of the presidency of the MBA Croatia association, Marko Ćosić.
MBA Croatia awarded the winners with unique awards, statues that represent the logo of the association.

December 20, 2019 - The third Adria Business Network was organized at the Bagatin Clinic and hosted by entrepreneurs Željka Barišić and Kristina Krstinić. The primary goal of this event was to donate a portion of the ticket sales to the blind and partially sighted residents of the "Vinko Bek" Center for Education in Zagreb.
Director of Bagatin Clinic and guest lecturer Ognjen Bagatin, revealed:
“The third Adria Business Network business event was held on December 18, 2019, with us in the educational area of the Bagatin Clinic, where, in a holiday atmosphere, I was pleased to welcome many people of goodwill and open hearts.
It is often difficult to convey the atmosphere in words and pictures, but the radiant faces and extremely positive feedback of all participants is one of the most beautiful things that I, as a lecturer and host, could receive. Speaking of business optimization and growing the Bagatin Clinic brand, which is today the best cosmetic surgery clinic in the world, I actually wanted to send a more profound message that can be identified by all people of the enterprising spirit, from those who are just starting out to those who lead a big business. Most of all, I am glad that ticket sales went into the right hands. The funds from this event will be donated to the Vinko Bek Center for Education of the Blind and Visually Impaired. Thanks to everyone who responded! Thank you Željko and Kristina, for successfully connecting us! As far as I'm concerned, the Christmas celebration can begin!"
During the event, everyone was given an opportunity to network, find new clients, and take part in a lucrative business, as is the purpose of this gathering.
“The top lecture by the Bagatin Clinic director delighted all those present to the point that they almost left the room floating! I must admit that I have not heard such an inspirational speech in a long time, and everyone in the hall agreed. I want to thank Mr. Bagatin for hosting us in his premises and for making this the most successful Adria Business Network by all criteria. I would also like to thank everyone who helped the Vinko Bek Center for Education by purchasing a ticket. We are happy and motivated to continue, so follow us on social networks and visit us at the next event to continue feeling this fantastic energy,” said Željka Barišić, owner of Forca Digital Agency and one of the founders of Adria Business Network.
Kristina Krstinić, owner of MIKRIS Project Management in Zagreb and founder of Adria Business Network, added:
“It is imperative that entrepreneurs and those who want to become one hear as many inspirational and encouraging stories as possible. One of these is certainly the successful, but not easy, journey of Ognjen Bagatin and his team at the Bagatin Clinic. That is, when you have clear goals and are committed to them, success will come. I want to thank everyone who supported us in raising funds for the Vinko Bek Center for Education, and we are pleased that during this holiday time, we were able to contribute to bettering the lives of the Center's residents."

December 4, 2019 - Bagatin Clinic puts Croatia firmly on the global medical tourism map in Berlin after being named International Cosmetic Surgery Clinic of the Year at the prestigious IMTJ 2019 awards.
A magnificent achievement for Croatian medical tourism last night, as the country's leading clinic, Bagatin, won big at the prestigious IMTJ 2019 awards in Berlin. Organised by the team behind International Medical Travel Journal, the annual awards are the most important in the medical tourism industry, and there was physical representation from an impressive 45 countries at last night's ceremony.
But while winning the title of the world's best International Cosmetic Surgery Clinic of the Year was the highlight of Bagatin's trip to IMTJ 2019, it was by no means the only one.
Earlier in the conference, Bagatin Clinic became the first clinic in Croatia and only the 65th in the world to receive the coveted TEMOS Accreditation - in the fields of Medical Tourism Excellence and Quality of International Patient Care. CEO Ognjen Bagatin and Business Development Manager Andrea Stipanic were on hand to accept the accreditations.
Ognjen Bagatin also gave one of the most inspiring presentations of IMTJ 2019, telling his story of how he grew his clinic from a small operation consisting of just him and his two cosmetic surgeon brothers with a turnover of just 30,000 euro offering just aesthetic surgery in 2008, to over 100 employees in 2018 and revenues of 5.5 million euro with four departments (and 120 employees in 2019).
I have followed the Croatian medical tourism industry closely over the last two years, but IMTJ 2019 was the first time I had seen Bagatin on the global stage, and I was curious to see how a leading Croatian clinic would compare to the global heavyweights. Not only did Bagatin rub shoulders with the best of them, but there were many learning from Bagatin and his best practices. One of the IMTJ judges even commented that the clinic is probably the best global case study for best practices of a clinic.
The excellent conference over, it was time for the big night - the annual awards dinner. The Croatian delegation was small, the two Bagatin heroes, Alfred Frankovic from Kvarner Health Cluster, and one fat Brit who wore Bagatin's lucky Croatian tie for the occasion.
And we did not have long to wait for recognition, with Bagatin Clinic a finalist in the category of Best Quality Initiative.
No victory in that category, but the sweet taste of success was soon to come, as the winner of the International Cosmetic Surgery Clinic of the Year was announced - Bagatin Clinic! It was an honour to be sitting in the front row and to record the moment above.
A huge milestone for the Croatian medical tourism industry, and a huge recognition of the efforts of the entire BagaTEAM.
A quick chat with the charismatic CEO a few minutes after the award.
Wonderful stuff - congratulations to the entire BagaTEAM, proof that with the right leadership and plan, Croatia can compete with the very best in the global medical tourism industry. I sometimes compare Ognjen Bagatin to Luka Modric, the midfield dynamo who keeps the Croatian medical tourism industry buzzing. Unlike Modric and the heroics of the 2018 World Cup in Russia, young Ognjen left for Zagreb this morning with his World Cup firmly in his hand.
The award is timely for Bagatin and Croatia, as it will shift more focus on the Croatian medical tourism industry. That interest will intensify in March next year, as Bagatin Clinic, together with collaborative international presenter, Cleveland Clinic, will host Europe's first-ever European Patient Experience and Innovation Congress in Dubrovnik. You can learn more about EPIC 2020 on the official website.

December 2, 2019 - Everyone is invited to the third Adria Business Network, organized by entrepreneurs Željka Barišić and Kristina Krstinić, which will be held on December 18, 2019, at 6 pm at the Bagatin Clinic, located at Avenija grada Vukovara 269 G / 2nd floor.
In the first part of the event, the guest lecturer, director of the Bagatin Clinic, Ognjen Bagatin, will share how, in just a few years, his family business has grown to 120 employees working in three locations. Bagatin will also touch on the questions:
- Why has the Deloitte Polyclinic been listed as one of the fastest-growing SMEs in healthcare?
- What are all the skills and knowledge you need to get a healthcare institution to the top of Croatian and European brands?
- Why are all employees of the Bagatin Clinic educated continuously and working on their professional and personal development?
- What does the term conscious leadership include, and why does the leader of the Bagatin Clinic Ognjen Bagatin worship all his mistakes?
The second part of the event includes a one-minute pitch by all attendees.
At the end of the lecture, in an informal gathering with top-quality wine and the prosciutto of Delicatessen Prtenjača, the attendees will have the opportunity to exchange experiences with the guest lecturer and other participants.
The answers to all these questions, and a closer look into the entrepreneurial mindset, can be found at the Adria Business Network pre-Christmas event, directly from Ognjen Bagatin, who will welcome everyone interested in his into his company.
But that’s not all. This Adria Business Network event also has a humanitarian touch. Namely, the profit from ticket sales will go to the blind and partially sighted residents of the Center for Education "Vinko Bek" in Zagreb!
Why not do good for others while doing good for yourself?
Tickets for the event can be found here.
