ZAGREB, 16 Aug 2021 - In the past 24 hours, 46 coronavirus cases, out of 3,124 tests, and two deaths have been confirmed in Croatia, the national COVID-19 crisis management team said on Monday.

A total of 212 patients are hospitalized, including 24 on ventilators.

The death toll now stands at 8,285.

There are 1,718 active cases and 5,682 persons are self-isolating.

Croatia has so far tested 2,408,828 people and infection has been confirmed in 376,068. Of that number, 357,065 people have recovered, including 229 in the last 24 hours.

To date, Croatia has vaccinated 49.7% of the adult population and 45.96% of adults have been fully vaccinated.

ZAGREB, 9 Aug 2021 - In the past 24 hours, 44 new coronavirus cases and one COVID-19- related death have been registered in Croatia, the national COVID-19 crisis management team said Monday.

There are 190 hospitalized patients, including 22 on ventilators.

The death toll currently stands at 8,273.

There are 1,102 active cases while 4,487 persons are self-isolating.

To date, 2,356,266 persons have been tested for the virus, including 3,909 in the past 24 hours.

Also, 41% of the population has been vaccinated, including 49.3% of adults, 45.03% of whom have completed vaccination.

ZAGREB, 5 Aug 2021 - Over the past 24 hours, Croatia has registered 247 new coronavirus cases and three related deaths, the national coronavirus crisis management team said on Thursday.

There are 154 hospitalized patients, including 14 who are on ventilators. The number of active cases today stands at 1,221, and 4,048 people are in self-isolation.

To date, Croatia has registered 364,491 coronavirus infections, including 8,270 deaths and 355,000 recoveries, of which 170 in the last 24 hours.

A total of 2,332,341 people have been tested to date, 8,044 of whom over the past 24 hours.

As of 4 August, 3,109,586 vaccine doses have been administered, with 40.8% of the total population and 49.1% of the adult population having been vaccinated.

A total of 1,656,936 persons have been vaccinated with at least one dose and 1,506,706 of them have been fully vaccinated, which represents 44.7% of the adult population.

ZAGREB, 2 Aug 2021 - Croatia has registered 29 new coronavirus cases and three COVID-19-related deaths in the last 24 hours, the national coronavirus response team said on Monday.

The number of active cases currently stands at 953. Of them, 156 people are receiving hospital treatment, including 13 on ventilators.

Since the outbreak of the epidemic in the country in late February 2020, a total of 363,787 people have been registered as having contracted the novel virus, of whom 8,266 have died and 354,568 have recovered, including 175 in the last 24 hours.

Currently, 4,326 people are self-isolating.

A total of 2,308,960 people have been tested to date, including 3,243 in the last 24 hours. 

By 1 August, 3,080,719 doses of vaccine had been administered, with 40.6 percent of the total population and 48.8 percent of the adult population having been vaccinated. A total of 1,647,156 people have been inoculated with at least one dose, while 1,485,510 people, or 44.08 percent of the adult population, have been fully inoculated.

August 1, 2021 - In an effort to combat the still ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the city of Zagreb has announced the opening of a COVID-19 clinic for tourists in the Croatian capital.

As of Monday, August 2, a COVID-19 clinic for tourists will be established in Zagreb, reports HrTurizam.hr. This decision was made by the Zagreb Civil Protection Headquarters, and according to the instructions of the Croatian Institute of Public Health, according to which local self-government units, local civil protection headquarters, and health centers should organize tourist offices and provide capacities for timely diagnostics COVID-19 for guests of tourist accommodation facilities, and provide organized isolation for COVID-19 patients whose clinical picture does not require hospitalization and organized quarantine/self-isolation for healthy patient contacts.

The COVID-19 clinic will be located at the Zagreb Centar Health Center address, 22 Većeslava Holjevca Avenue, from August 2, 2021, until the recall. The working hours of the tourist COVID-19 clinic are every working day, weekend, and holiday from 8:00 to 16:00, and the contact can be found at the LINK.

Preparedness in the tourist COVID-19 clinic is organized every working day, weekend, and holiday from 16:00 to 24:00 on the phone number: 091 / 489-7022.

In the COVID-19 clinic, tourists staying in accommodation facilities in the City of Zagreb will perform a rapid antigen test (BAT) for 75.00 kuna, as recommended by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Croatia.

Free rapid antigen testing is also provided for the citizens of Zagreb, based on the indication of the chosen family doctor who refers them for testing.

For citizens who want to be tested by rapid antigen tests, for personal reasons (without indication of the chosen family doctor), the test is also free, but citizens bear the costs of the testing procedure according to the current instructions of the HZZO. Rapid antigen testing will be provided at the location: Health Center Zagreb Center - Siget, Avenija Većeslava Holjevca 22, every working day, weekend, and holiday from 8:00 to 11:00 without prior ordering.

An isolation point was also organized for guests and tourists suffering from COVID-19 disease, the clinical picture does not require hospitalization and organized quarantine/self-isolation for healthy contacts of patients. Quarantine is being established in the City of Youth Facility, Aleja Hrvatske Mladeži 19, also from August 2, 2021, until revocation.

ZAGREB, 26 July 2021 - Croatia has registered 27 new coronavirus cases and two COVID-related deaths in the last 24 hours, the national coronavirus response team said on Monday.

Currently, there are 924 active cases in the country, with 138 infected people receiving hospital treatment, of whom 13 are on ventilators.

Since 25 February 2020, when the first case was confirmed in Croatia, 362,648 people have been registered as having contracted the novel virus, of whom 8,247 have died and 353,477 have recovered, including 110 in the last 24 hours. Currently, 3,521 people are self-isolating.

To date, 2,251,838 people have been tested for coronavirus, including 3,372 in the last 24 hours.

A total of 3,008,752 doses of vaccine have been administered, with 39.9 percent of the total population or 48 percent of the adult population having been vaccinated. 1,620,439 people have been inoculated with at least one dose, of whom 1,433,059 have been fully inoculated (1,388,313 people have received two doses and 44,746 have been vaccinated with the single-dose Jannsen vaccine), which makes up 42.54 percent of the adult population.

July 21, 2021 - New travel rules will take effect from Monday, as all vaccinated British tourists entering Croatia must also present a negative COVID-19 test to enter the country. The same rules apply to tourists from Russia and Cyprus. We're bringing you the details. 

A major change is being introduced to enter Croatia. All Britons, Russians, and Cypriots must have a negative test to cross the Croatian border, regardless of whether they have been vaccinated or have contracted and recovered from COVID-19. The change takes effect next Monday, reports Index.hr.

The basis for the changes is the Decision on the temporary prohibition and restriction of crossing the Croatian border, which states that the CNIPH determines the list of countries to which additional rules apply.

The CNIPH has added the United Kingdom, Russia, and Cyprus to the list of countries that require a PCR test not older than 72 hours or a rapid antigen test not older than 48 hours, which was expected.

The CNIPH published the news, which is transmitted in its entirety below.

"To protect health and prevent the spread of COVID-19, additional epidemiological measures have been introduced, which are applied when crossing the border into the territory of the Republic of Croatia to prevent the introduction of new variants of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Due to the above, there was a quarantine obligation for arrivals from the Republic of South Africa, Brazil, Zanzibar, and India for a period of 14 days, which a negative PCR test can shorten after 7 days.

Since the Delta strain was imported from India, it has now become dominant in the European Union. The list of countries for which quarantine is mandatory remains the Republic of South Africa, Brazil, and Zanzibar. For persons coming from India, the mandatory quarantine after crossing the border is abolished. The obligation to present a negative test result on SARS-CoV-2 is introduced within 48 hours when crossing the border if it is a rapid antigen test or within 72 hours if it is a PCR test, regardless of whether the person has contracted COVID-19 or has been vaccinated.

Due to the worse epidemiological situation in the United Kingdom, Cyprus, and the Russian Federation, as an additional measure for all persons coming from these countries, a negative SARS-CoV-2 test performed in the home country, regardless of vaccination status or recovery from COVID-19, is required before entering the territory of the Republic of Croatia.

The change will be published on the CNIPH website and will take effect on Monday, July 26, 2021," the CNIPH said.

ZAGREB, 19 July 2021 - Croatia has registered 18 new coronavirus cases and two COVID-related deaths in the last 24 hours, the national coronavirus crisis management team said on Monday.

The number of active cases in the country currently stands at 685. Among them are 125 people who are receiving hospital treatment and 14 of them are on ventilators.

Since 25 February 2020, when the first case was confirmed in Croatia, a total of 361,613 people have been registered as having contracted the novel virus, of whom 8,240 have died and 352,688 have recovered, including 75 in the last 24 hours. Currently, 4,029 people are in self-isolation.

To date, 2,218,712 people have been tested for COVID-19, including 1,543 in the last 24 hours.

By 18 July, 2,917,001 vaccine doses had been administered, with 39.2 percent of the total population or 47.1 percent of the adult population having been vaccinated.  A total of 1,589,579 people have received at least one dose, of whom 1,364,798 have been fully inoculated (1,327,422 have been vaccinated with both doses and 37,376 have received the single-dose Jannsen vaccine), which makes up 40.54 percent of the adult population.

ZAGREB, 17 July 2021 - In the last 24 hours, out of 3,834 tests performed for coronavirus, 139, that is 3.6%, have returned positive, Croatia's national COVID-19 crisis management team reported on Saturday.

There are now 723 active cases, and 112 of them are hospitalized patients, including 12 placed on ventilators.

The COVID-related death toll has increased by two to 8,236 in the last 24 hours.

Since the first registered case of the infection with this novel virus in Croatia on 25 February 2020, more than 2.2 million tests have been conducted, showing that 361,488 have caught the virus, and of them, 352,529 have recovered to date, including 99 recoveries in the last 24 hours.

Vaccine rollout: Two in five adults fully vaccinated

To date, more than 2.9 million vaccines against this infection have been administered, and 47% of the adult population have been inoculated.

Until 16 July, 1,584,407 were vaccinated, and 1,357,261 of them were fully vaccinated (1,321,943 people were double-jabbed plus 35,318 who received the single-dose Jannsen vaccine).  Thus every two in five Croatians (40.32%) have fully been vaccinated.

The daily death toll was zero. To date, there have been 8,233 COVID-related deaths in the country

Currently, there are 653 active cases, including 110 hospitalized patients and of the nine are placed on ventilators.

Since 25 February 2020, when Croatia reported its first registered case of the infection with coronavirus, more than 2.2 million tests have been conducted, showing that 361,218 people have caught this novel virus. Of them, 352,332 have recovered to date, including 81 in the last 24 hours.

As many as 2,870,866 COVID vaccine doses have been administered. Thus, 1,569,371 Croatians have received at least one dose, and of them, 1,301,495 have been double-jabbed plus 32,509 people who have been inoculated with the single-dose Jannsen vaccine, (nearly 40% of the adult population).
