August 1, 2021 - In an effort to combat the still ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the city of Zagreb has announced the opening of a COVID-19 clinic for tourists in the Croatian capital.
As of Monday, August 2, a COVID-19 clinic for tourists will be established in Zagreb, reports HrTurizam.hr. This decision was made by the Zagreb Civil Protection Headquarters, and according to the instructions of the Croatian Institute of Public Health, according to which local self-government units, local civil protection headquarters, and health centers should organize tourist offices and provide capacities for timely diagnostics COVID-19 for guests of tourist accommodation facilities, and provide organized isolation for COVID-19 patients whose clinical picture does not require hospitalization and organized quarantine/self-isolation for healthy patient contacts.
The COVID-19 clinic will be located at the Zagreb Centar Health Center address, 22 Većeslava Holjevca Avenue, from August 2, 2021, until the recall. The working hours of the tourist COVID-19 clinic are every working day, weekend, and holiday from 8:00 to 16:00, and the contact can be found at the LINK.
Preparedness in the tourist COVID-19 clinic is organized every working day, weekend, and holiday from 16:00 to 24:00 on the phone number: 091 / 489-7022.
In the COVID-19 clinic, tourists staying in accommodation facilities in the City of Zagreb will perform a rapid antigen test (BAT) for 75.00 kuna, as recommended by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Croatia.
Free rapid antigen testing is also provided for the citizens of Zagreb, based on the indication of the chosen family doctor who refers them for testing.
For citizens who want to be tested by rapid antigen tests, for personal reasons (without indication of the chosen family doctor), the test is also free, but citizens bear the costs of the testing procedure according to the current instructions of the HZZO. Rapid antigen testing will be provided at the location: Health Center Zagreb Center - Siget, Avenija Većeslava Holjevca 22, every working day, weekend, and holiday from 8:00 to 11:00 without prior ordering.
An isolation point was also organized for guests and tourists suffering from COVID-19 disease, the clinical picture does not require hospitalization and organized quarantine/self-isolation for healthy contacts of patients. Quarantine is being established in the City of Youth Facility, Aleja Hrvatske Mladeži 19, also from August 2, 2021, until revocation.
