ZAGREB, April 25, 2018 - The Austrian Ministry of the Interior is considering adopting a law to ban Croatian Ustasha insignia and symbols at a memorial ceremony in Bleiburg, Austrian media said on Tuesday.

ZAGREB, April 22, 2018 - The Jasenovac victims deserve a single, joint commemoration, Prime Minister Andrej Plenković said on Sunday, after the official state commemoration to the Jasenovac WWII concentration camp victims ended, expressing confidence that an agreement regarding a joint commemoration would be reached with representatives of the Alliance of Associations of Antifascist Fighters and Antifascists (SABA) and the Serb National Council (SNV).

ZAGREB, April 21, 2018 - A commemoration for the victims of the World War II concentration camp of Jasenovac, organised by the Alliance of Associations of Antifascist Fighters and Antifascists (SABA) and the Serb National Council (SNV) was held in Jasenovac, around 100 kilometres southeast of Zagreb.

For the third year in a row, groups representing victims will boycott the official government commemoration for those killed at the Jasenovac concentration camp.

The prefect of Carinthia wants to ban the event which is traditionally held in May.

ZAGREB, April 15, 2018 - The head of the Jewish Community of Zagreb (ŽOZ) and of the Coordinating Committee of Jewish Communities in Croatia Ognjen Kraus said at a commemoration for the victims of the World War II concentration camp Jasenovac that the Croatian government and parliament must respect the constitution and the fact that the Ustasha salute "For the homeland, ready" is unconstitutional.

ZAGREB, April 13, 2018 - Speaking at the central commemoration of Holocaust Remembrance Day at Zagreb's Mirogoj cemetery on Thursday, the leader of the Jewish Community of Zagreb Ognjen Kraus expressed dissatisfaction with the treatment of Jews in Croatia and called on the authorities to adopt, as soon as possible, a law to ban the Ustasha salute "For the homeland, ready" and Ustasha symbols "under which the Jewish community was almost entirely destroyed."
