ZAGREB, Jan 14, 2018 - This year, the carnival in the seaport of Rijeka will be shorter than usual given that Lent, a six-week period ahead of Easter, starts on 14 February as Easter is celebrated on 1 April.

The 32nd International Carnival parade was held in Rijeka today.

Over the next two months, a more than colorful event will have taken over the streets of Rijeka. A special time in the city otherwise known as “Carnival”, Rijeka prepares to get their masks ready from January 17th until Ash Wednesday, which this year falls on March 1st, reports HRTurizam on January 14, 2017.
