The much awaited and highly anticipated filming for the new film Robin Hood: Origins is set to begin in Dubrovnik on the 20th of February 2017. Find out when you can and when you can't enter the Old City.

Dubrovnik has received a considerable boost in tourism for this otherwise quiet period owing to several factors, including Nissan's Micra presentation and the filming and preparations for Robin Hood: Origins.

As preparations for the filming of Robin Hood: Origins continue, TCN's Lauren Simmonds - Nottingham raised and a Dubrovnik resident - takes a closer look on December 22, 2016 at Robin Hood, any Dubrovnik connection and how, authentically this popular hero might be represented. 

Dubrovnik Mayor Andro Vlahušić on Monday met again with the Executive Producer of the new film 'Robin Hood: Origins', E. Bennett Walsh. It has been reported by the city of Dubrovnik that Walsh presented the final draft set design for the film, and announced that they will begin shooting in the second half of February 2017.

Dubrovnik Mayor Andro Vlahušić received the new Robin Hood film’s director Otto Bathurst and executive producer E. Bennett Walsh, welcoming them into Dubrovnik. Most all of the film’s details will be known by the end of October.
