Grand Park Hotel Rovinj Included in Organisation for Luxury Hospitality

As Barbara Ban/Novac writes on the 19th of December, 2019, Maistra's Grand Park Hotel Rovinj, which opened its doors back in April this year, has become part of one of the world's largest luxury hotel organisations, The Leading Hotels of the World (LHW).

Membership of this organisation is provided only to the most prominent hotels belonging to the category of luxury hotels and continuously delivers the highest standards of quality of accommodation, service, facilities and gourmet offers.

Today, LHW can boast of more than 400 of the world's most luxurious hotels, destinations and spas in over 80 countries worldwide. Among them is another one of Maistra's pearls, the Monte Mulini Hotel, which became a member for its exclusivity back in 2012.

''The listing of The Leading Hotels of the World, which is considered a guarantee of quality for luxury hotels, is another confirmation of the exceptional status of Grand Park Hotel Rovinj not only in the Croatian tourist offer but far beyond it. This is the largest single investment by the Adris Group into the tourism part of its business, worth almost 700 million kuna,'' said Tomislav Popovic, Maistra's director.

It's worth recalling the fact that with the opening of the Grand Park Hotel Rovinj, the Adris Group completed the renovation of the Monte Mulini zone, one of the most luxurious tourist zones in the Adriatic, which includes Monte Mulini hotels, also a member of LHW, then the first Croatian design hotel, Lone, and the recently renovated Eden Hotel.

The hotel construction project is a collaboration of Maistra, a local 3LHD architectural studio and the Milan studio Pierro Lissoni - Lissoni Architettura, one of the most respected and world-renowned Italian designers and architects, who defines trends in world-class product design.

Grand Park Hotel Rovinj is located opposite the old town of Rovinj, overlooking the Church of St. Euphemia and the Island of St. Catherine (Sv. Katarina). On six floors, guests can enjoy views from one of the 209 units, a wide selection of restaurants and bars including the signature Cap Aureo restaurant, the 3,800-square-foot Albaro Wellness & Spa centre and the Lungomare Plaza promenades with shops, restaurants and bars.

The hotel received its first guests on April the 1st, 2019, while the grand opening was celebrated on June the 1st with the Adris 44Cup Regatta and the performance of one of the world's greatest tenors, Andre Bocelli, in Lone Bay.

Another recognition of the quality provided by the Grand Park Hotel Rovinj is the one recently won at this year's Days of Croatian Tourism for Hotel Investment of the Year, it was also shortlisted among the best city hotels for 2019, published by the prestigious Wallpaper * magazine.

The Most Luxurious Hotel in Croatia About to Open - Grand Park Hotel Rovinj

Grand Park Hotel Rovinj, the largest single Croatian tourist project worth 600 million kunas, owned by and invested in by Maistra, is getting finalized these days. Over 500 people are working on the interior decoration and the final touches, and as those works are being finished, the landscaping of the entire Monte Mulini tourist area is being completed.

The hotel's grand opening is expected in April, and tportal visited the site. The new hotel should have 209 rooms, all with a view of the Rovinj old town, accepting 500 guests at a time and bringing over a hundred new jobs to Rovinj.

The hotel will also have six restaurants, wellness and spa centre will be on 3800 square meters, thee will be a congress hall and other luxury zones - such as the shopping promenade, which will host well-known global and local brands. It should be yet another exciting addition to one of already most high-end tourist zones in Croatia, as the opening of the this hotel will be the final chapter in the completion of the already existing tourist zone called Monte Mulini.

And some of the world's (and local) architects and designers worked on the project for the hotel, including Lissoni Architecture, a Milan-based studio owned by Piero Lissoni, who is often said to be one of the most famous Italian designers in the world, whose art is displayed in many museums around the world.

Tportal also visited the construction site for the Grand Park Hotel Rovinj in May last year, and one of the things they made note of even back then was the attention to detail by the investor, as the 50-meter high construction cranes were decoratively illuminated, to make sure that the view of the construction site from the town and the surroundings was as pleasant as possible - while the construction itself was taking place.
