A living nativity scene will take place at the spacious yard of the Cenacolo community of the Brotherhood of Our Lady of Health from Ugljane near Trilj - one of the first communities established by sister Elvira.

Costumes and scenes were done exclusively by the members of the community and the whole screenplay is faithful to the Gospel.

The nativity scene will take place on December 26, 2015 at 17:00, than on December 30, 2015 and again on January 6, 2016.

Everyone is welcome to join the members of the community in their efforts in creating the living nativity in Ugljane.

A short information from the St. Michael Archangel Trilj Choir about their concert to take place tomorrow on December 23, 2015 at 18:00 at the St. Michael Archangel Church in Trilj. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the Christmas atmosphere. Here is a short taste of their performance:

Inland Dalmatia is becoming increasingly known as an adventure tourism destination, and great progress has been made in the last two years improving the region as a premier cycling destination. Projects such as Medpaths have certainly played their part, but effective marketing and local initiatives have helped move the destination forward. 

One such initiative last year was the first Trilj Biciklijada, an event which is being reeated this Sunday - a joint effort from the Trilj Tourist Board and BK Timun. I ove godine Turistička zajednica grada Trilja u suradnji sa BK Timun, a sve u sklopu projekta MedPaths organizira 2. Triljsku biciklijadu koja za cilj ima promociju biciklističkih i pješačkih staza triljskog kraja, ekologije, druženja u prirodi te upoznavanje okoline u kojoj živimo. Čeka vas ugodna vožnja lijepim krajolicima Trilja i okolice, zato pozivamo sve ljubitelje te zaljubljenike u biciklizam, svih uzrasta, da u što većem broju uveličaju drugu po redu Triljsku biciklijadu! 

Biciklijada nema natjecateljski karakter, a pravo na sudjelovanje imaju svi ljudi dobre volje. 

Obuhvaća dvije biciklističke staze: 

1. Trilj - Gardun - Vojnić - Kula Nutjak –Trilj - dužine 14,40 km 

Te za one koji žele više, nastavak na stazu:

2. Trilj - Strmendolac - Čaporice – Trilj - dužine 11,60 km

Za ljubitelje šetnje tu je pješačka staza "Izvori":

Gaz-Grab-Velić-Ržišta-Jabuka-Gaz - dužine 10,0 km

Prijave za bickliste su otvorene do početka utrke u nedjelju u 12 sati, a za pješake do petka u 12 sati u Turističkom uredu TZ grada Trilja ili putem Facebook stranice TZ grada Trilja.

Program za bicikliste NEDJELJA 18.10.2015.: 

- okupljanje u 11 sati u gradskom parku

- prijava sudionika, pri prijavi svaki sudionik dobiva startni broj 

- start utrke u 12 sati

- oko 15 sati se očekuje povratak na CILJ (gradski park) gdje sve sudionike čeka topli obrok

Program za pješake NEDJELJA 18.10.2015.: 

- okupljanje u 8 sati ispred restorana ''Premijer'' na Gazu

-prijava sudionika

-polazak u 08.30 h, te šetnja prekrasnim krajolicima I posjet OPG-u sa degustacijom

- oko 15 sati se očekuje u gradski park gdje sve sudionike ( i biciklijade i pješačke ture) čeka topli obrok

The Trilj Culture Society welcomed the Professor Ph.D. Michael Ursinus, the Head of the Department of Turkish history and Arabic language at the German University in Heidelberg.

Dr. Ursinus is also a guest lecturer at the Nottingham University in England, where he lives with his family. He is the author of 25 scientific works and 7 books. In his work, he is processing even topics on the Turkish history from the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia. At the moment, the Klis Sandžak is in the centre of his interest and studies.

During his visit, the professor´s first stop was the newly opened Museum of Sinj Alka. Words of welcome from the director of the museum, Mr. Boris Filipović Grčić and the Secretary of the Alka Knights Society, Mr. Ivan Nasić. After several hours of touring the museum, the professor expressed his delight with what he saw. It is interesting to follow how much time the professor devoted to Turkish swords and inscriptions engraved on them (which he read with ease).

 

 

After visiting the museum of Sin Alka, another tour followed - the tour of the Franciscan monastery, of the Church of Our Lady of Sinj, of the Cloister and other attractions. Professor Ursinus did not hide his delight with what he saw and expressed its readiness for a more thorough study of the history of the Ottoman rule in the Cetina area.

The professor already submitted his scientific work and research, which will be published at the almanac of the Zagreb-Sinj Symposium, held on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the miraculous defense of Sinj (1715 - 2015). The article "Sinj and its surroundings towards the Turkish census from 1574" was written in English and translated into Croatian by Petar Bogić, a studen of the language Gymnasium Marko Marulić from Split, who together with Tomislav Perković from Livno were accompanying the professor during his visit.

Before returning to his homeland, the professor visited Split, Salona and the Klis Fortress.

According to Ferata.hr, Trilj is another city of the Inland Dalmatia with great results for the first 8 months of this year.

In the period from January to August, Trilj increased the number of tourist arrivals by 39% and overnight stays by 20% compared to the same period of last year.

 

According to the data from the Trilj tourist board, there have been 2.561 arrivals and 11.183 overnight stays in the period of the first 8 months of this year. In the same period last year, it was 1.543 arrivals and 8.606 overnight stays.

And so, in just two months (July and August), Trilj achieved slightly more than 50% of the total number of overnight stays and just over 40% of the total tourist arrivals for the period. It is also interesting, that only in July this year, compared to the same month last year, the number of arrivals jumped from 261 to 542 (50%).

The effects of a successful tourist season throughout Croatia have had an impact on Trilj too, where an increase of arrivals and overnights in the period from the beginning of the year until the end of August have been recorded.

An invitation for all song and dance lovers for the 6th children´s festival "Mali Trilj" (Little Trilj), to take place on Sunday (September 20, 2015) at the city cinema from 18:00.

Little amateur singers from Trilj and Sinj area, who passed the very demanding auditions and rehearsals by Joško Delić Zurzi will be performing at the festival. The festival is organized by the Female Association "Triljanke" and is a part of the Days of St. Mihovil ("Dani Svetog Mihovile"). Tickets are available at the spot for 10 kn.

Festival je dio programa „Dani svetoga Mihovila“, a organizator je Udruga žena „Triljanke“ Trilj.

The youth association ACTUS from Trilj organizes the second Parkin Trilj festival to take place tonight (September 12, 2015) at the Trilj city park starting at 20:30. Performers for this year are: Bekdors (Sinj), Go Lilly (Split), Đona + Žuky, UnderDog (Sinj). The after party will take place at C.B. Nadalina.

As a part of the festival, the S.K.U.P. association will held an photo exhibition "Objekti(v) Budućnosti" a the Trilj park during the festival. It is a touring exhibition, which consists of photos of that particular location. Photos are mostly of and about young people and their life.

The Female Association "Triljanke" Trilj and The Female Comunity "Katarina Zrinski" prepared an humanitarian action "Let´s Show our Humanity in Action" ("Prikažimo svoju humanost na djelu"). In the period of September 1-18, 2015, it is possible to donate cloths, shoes, hygienic necessities and food for the people in need of the Trilj area.

Donations will be received in the space next to the movie theatre in Trilj on working days from 8 till 14 and on Mondays and Wednesdays from 16 till 18. Ladies from the female associations are informing us about the need for several stoves (gas and wood) and even tables, chairs and beds will be welcome.
