Jana Leading Brand in Croatian Market

Jana’s first position demonstrates that consumers love inspirational messages.

For the third year in a row, Jana Water with a Message has surpassed its globally known competitors and retained the top position as the most powerful brand in Croatia, according to a research conducted by Valicon agency, reports Večernji List on February 23, 2017.

This is the third year in a row that Jana holds the leading position in Croatia in the rankings of brand power, according to research conducted for last year. The 1st place of Jana in Croatia shows that consumers love inspirational messages and that ever since the Water With a Message was first presented to consumers in late 2013, the new direction in marketing communication resulted with success.

In addition to its leading position in Croatia, Jana is ranked as the tenth most popular brand in the regional markets as well, as the sole representative of bottled water industry.

“This is truly an exceptional recognition for Jana, because it is given by consumers. Being the first brand in such strong competition represents a great success, since Jana is the youngest brand in the rankings. Our team works hard and invests a lot of energy starting from the first steps in the production process, which results with bottles of water with a special mineral composition and silky taste, to deciding on position for Jana on the supermarket shelves, marketing campaigns and communication with customers. We therefore believe that these indicators confirm that our customers continuously identify with Jana. We will continue to strive to keep their favourite brand as the market leader”, said Iva Balent, executive marketing director of Agrokor.

In addition to the recognition of consumers, Jana has won numerous awards from marketing and journalism experts, such as the bronze lion in Cannes, the Grand Prix at the Golden Drum in Ljubljana, the Epica Award in Amsterdam, the Sempl Award in Portorož in Slovenia, and the Eurobest award in Rome. It was also recently selected as the most popular non-alcoholic drink in Croatia.

Since 2013, bottles of Jana carry inspirational messages, and part of the income has been invested in various humanitarian and charity programmes.
