Representatives of the Japanese 'Mitsubishi Heavy Industries' (MHI) company visited Brodosplit in Split, reports Poslovni.hr on October 12, 2017.
"MHI group has three shipbuilding facilities in Nagasaki, Kobe and Shimonoseki in Japan. We are leading the way in the construction of high value-added ships such as LNG ships and cruise ships, and we are involved in the production of defence and space equipment using leading-edge technology and rich experience accumulated over a number of years. With a long history of supplying Japanese and other overseas customers, we are well known throughout the world for our progressive approach and a wide range of business activities," the Japanese guests highlighted in their introductory presentation.
During their stay in the Split shipyard, they talked with the executive director of Brodosplit, Zoran Kunker and Assistant to the Management Board, Mato Lukas, who introduced them to the production possibilities of Brodosplit, presented some of the newer projects and development plans.
After having been introduced to the company's current and potential projects, the representatives took a walk through the shipyard to take a look at the company's facilities and manufacturing capabilities. They've visited the world's largest sailing ship and learned about Brodosplit's plans and goals to successfully position themselves in the international market.
