A large investment from one Osijek company with some praiseworthy environmentally friendly goals ahead.
As Darko Bicak/Poslovni Dnevnik writes on the 28th of August, 2018, the Osijek-based company is developing an ''ecological drying'' project for drying laundry in facilities such as hotels, as well as one for the drying of fruits and vegetables, as well as various other types of plants.
In the newly renovated premises of the Cras company, based in the continental Croatian city of Osijek, a research and development laboratory has now been put into function which should allow for the production of environmentally friendly ecological driers that would be competitive on the European Union market over the coming two years.
As they have pointed out from Cras itself, the laboratory, worth 1.5 million kuna, is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment which will be used by engineers during the process of developing new products.
Further investment in innovative solutions and the development of low-energy dryers has been being conducted by the Faculty of Food Technology in Osijek, resulting in the development of a prototype for driers that will consume much less electricity than standard dryers currently do.
The dryers will be used in at least two sectors: the hotel industry (drying) and in food and agricultural production (drying fruit, vegetables and plants), the Osijek company has stated.
The project, which began on the 1st of July this year, will last 24 months, with the very welcome help of 1.04 million kuna co-financed by the European Union. The research and development laboratory is equipped with various measuring instruments, a thermovision camera, freon equipment, a soldering station, an ionizer transformer and other Information Technology equipment.
By using the specified equipment, reliability, accuracy and the stable measurement and calibration of the parameters should be ensured.
