Zoran Milanović: Elections Will Be Held in September

Reactions coming in to Prime Minister’s call for Karamarko and Petrov to resign.

After Prime Minister called on deputy prime ministers Tomislav Karamarko and Božo Petrov to resign, first reactions are coming in, report Večernji List, and n1info.com on June 3, 2016.

Zoran Milanović (SDP) said that the new elections will be held in September.

Krešo Beljak, president of HSS, a member of the Patriotic Coalition, said that the Prime Minister’s call was “a twilight of democracy in Croatia”, since Orešković did not take part in the elections and it was strange for him to call for resignations of people who did take part and had won votes at elections. He said that elected MPs were “blackmailed” by Orešković.

Goran Beus Richembergh (HNS) said that “the formal captain of the ship which is sinking wants to throw overboard the ballast in order to save himself. Orešković’s ship has holes on all sides and the Prime Minister should resign and enable for the new elections to take place”.
