The state list of strategic investment projects was expanded by two tourism projects this week, Hotels Plat and Autocamp Punta Nova, which will according to the Tourism Minister Anton Kliman expedite procedures and ease realisation of investments
“These are large projects of high category whose strategic positioning should expedite procedures and ease the realisation of investments. Investing in such high quality projects will enable higher employment and multiply effects for their communities,” said Minister Kliman for HINA adding this will increase the excellence of destinations where these projects are being realised, Jutarnji List reported on July 8, 2016.
Autocamp Punta Nova was declared strategic with the support of representatives of Zadar County and Povljana District, a five star camp with 200 beds.
The list was also populated with the Hotels Plat project, also five stars with 600 beds, to be built in the Dubrovnik-Neretva County. The complete reconstruction of the capacity of these hotels to five star level should begin, as announced by the Karisma Hotels Adriatic (KHA), in the fall after the tourism season ends.
Hotels Plat were bought from the state in May of last year by the company KHA Four, from the KHA group, backed by the Agrokor concern, Mexican hotel chain Karisma and one of the largest world tour operator TUI.
