Korcula will be celebrating 350 years of Moreška dance on July 30 through an exhibition by Davor Rostuhar.
Visitors to the island will be able to learn about the historic and traditional Moreška dance through an exhibition dedicated to the craft created by Davor Rostuhar.
The last authentic sword dance in the Mediterranean, Moreška is a 350 year old tradition involving groups of dancers engaging in a mock battle over the fate of a veiled young woman.

Originally performed only on special occasions, Moreška is now performed weekly on the island of Korčula throughout the summer.
The exhibition will take place on July 30th at 20h in Prince’s passing in Korčula. The exhibition is organized by Moreška, the Cultural Association of Korčula.
