The Croatian water polo team and Blanka Vlašić are only Croatian athletes left in the competition
The Rio Olympics are one to remember for Croatian athletes. All records are broken regarding their success, and on August 20, 2016, more medal contenders will be in action.

The Barracudas play the Dolphins. It includes huge rivalry between arguably two best water polo teams in the world. Croatia is the reigning Olympic Champion, while Serbia is the reigning World and European Champion. The eastern neighbors are considered favorites for the win, but Croatia has a new team, with probably the best goalkeeper in te world, and renewed confidence they lacked in last few encounters with the Serbian team.
Whatever happens tonight, the Barracudas did great at the Olympics and deserved nothing but praises for their performance. We hope to report about the another gold tonight, and although beating Serbia is the toughest task there is, what else can one expect in the finals of the Olympics?

Blanka Vlašić had many problems with injuries in last few years, but she overcame all obstacles and got to the finals of the high jump competition at the Olympics. It would be unfair to expect the medal from her, due to all the problems she had, but Blanka is a great champion, so nothing is to be ruled out.
If she brings out her best performance, and if she uses her experience, all bets are off, as she surely still has some quality jumps to make. If she manages the pain and doses her performance in the proper way, no one will be sorry to stay awake tonight and see Blanka in action. Even if she fails to get the medal, she deserves the support for her passion and effort so far.
