It’s the weekend and as we don’t really need an excuse, weekends prove best for some cheat-eating. When the sugar craving is kicking in and you’re feeling like a nibble of something sweet, why not try some of the best chocolatiers in Split?
Nadalina: Veteran Split “punk rocker” Marinko Biškić is the brains behind one of Split’s favorite chocolate go-to’s, Nadalina. Nadalina offers up a full range of Dalmatian flavored chocolate bars that have somewhat of a “cult chocolate” following for those lucky enough to indulge in this sweet treat. Nadalina chocolate is made from 70% cocoa solids and infuses classic Dalmatian flavors such as lavender and carob (ever tried our famous “rogač” liquer?) amongst many others like figs and sweet dessert wines. In addition to chocolate bars, Nadalina serves truffles, pralines, and even “bean-to-bar” coffee infused chocolates. You can find Nadalina chocolates at Dioklecijanova 6.

Kraš: Kraš has been making chocolates and Croatian sweets for over 100 years. Arguably the most famous brand of chocolate in Croatia, Kraš was named after the anti-fascist hero from World War II, Josip Kraš. The very first chocolate manufacturer in south-eastern Europe, Kraš has a large range of offerings like cooking chocolates, chocolate pralines, biscuits and wafers, and Croatian favorites like “bajadera” and napolitanke. Essentially the place to get all of your Croatian chocolate needs, Kraš is located right in the center of Split on Narodni Trg 6.
