Environmental Film Festival Taking Place in June

ZAGREB, February 25, 2018 - The 11th Emerald Eco Film Festival (SEFF) will be held in several Croatian towns on June 4-11, showing 68 films about environmental and nature protection from around the world in three categories - animation, short and feature.

Organiser Daniel Pavić said on Saturday that 1,315 films were submitted by February 15 and that it was very difficult to select the 68 that would compete for prizes.

The films will be shown in Gospić, Perušić, Otočac, Rudopolje, Hrvatska Kostajnica and Zagreb. The jury's members will come from Mexico, Portugal, Spain, the United States, the Dominican Republic, Iran, Russia and Serbia. Directors from Germany, Pakistan, Italy, Iceland and other countries have also announced their attendance.

The festival's partner is ECOZINE from Zaragoza, Spain. It will be held under the auspices of the Croatian Audio Visual Centre and has been organised by the Ecological and Cultural Scene from Hrvatska Kostajnica.

SEFF is a member of the Green Film Network, which comprises about 40 world environmental film festivals.
