ZAGREB, 2 Jan 2022 - Belgrade police and officers from a number of other Serbian police departments have been taking every measure to find the missing Matej Periš, a youth from Split, and the Croatian Embassy in Belgrade is in contact with the Serbian police and the Periš family, Hina learned on Sunday.
Responding to a query from Hina, the Serbian Interior Ministry said that Periš, 27, was reported missing to Belgrade police by a friend of his at 6 pm on 31 December, and that an intensive search was under way.
The Croatian Embassy told Hina it was in contact with the police and the family, and that the father was coming to Belgrade today. We hope for the best, an embassy official said after meeting with Belgrade police.
Belgrade media reported that Matej's father arrived from Split this afternoon.
According to the police report, Matej Periš was last seen at 2.30 am on 31 December at Belgrade's Gotik night club, where he was with friends with whom he had arrived in Belgrade for New Year's Eve.
