SDP Calls for Increasing Quality in Tourism Sector

Growing Interest in Vocational Occupations

ZAGREB, July 21, 2019 - Secondary school students in Croatia are showing a growing interest in vocational occupations, the Croatian Chamber of Commerce (HGK) said, citing data from the Ministry of Science and Education. General Purpose Cash Loans Continue to Rise

ZAGREB, July 20, 2019 - General purpose cash loans continue to rise at two-digit rates, according to Croatian National Bank (HNB) data, which Raiffeisenbank Austria (RBA) analysts consider a result of positive trends on the labour market and favourable financing conditions. According to HNB data, general purpose cash loans account for 39.3% of household loans and rose 11.8% on the year to 50.7 billion kuna at the end of May 2019. INA Discovers New Gas Field in Northeast Croatia

ZAGREB, July 19, 2019 - The INA oil and gas company on Friday announced that it had registered the discovery of a new natural gas bed at the Drava-02 exploration site and that findings of exploration at the Severovci-1 gas well indicate a total of 53,000 cubic metres of gas a day. EU Approves Preparation of Documentation for New Bosnia-Croatia Gas Pipeline

ZAGREB, July 18, 2019 - Bosnia and Herzegovina's natural gas supplier BH Gas said on Thursday it had received permission from the European Union to launch a project that would connect the country's gas grid to that of Croatia. Croatia's Q1 Survey Unemployment Rate at 7.6%

ZAGREB, July 18, 2019 - Croatia's survey unemployment rate stood at 7.6% in the first quarter of 2019, decreasing by 2.7 percentage points from the same period in 2018 and by 1 percentage point from the previous quarter, a labour force survey carried out by the National Bureau of Statistics (DZS) shows.
