Dutch Humanitarians Visit Vinkovci

ZAGREB, 7 Nov 2021 - Dutch humanitarian activists Tineke Sta-Bol and Ton van Bree, who have been organizing summer holidays for children from eastern Croatia in the Netherlands for 20 years, were received by the deputy mayor of Vinkovci, Josip Romić, this week. Romić praised the efforts of the two humanitarians, who every year raise donations for summer holidays for about 40 children from Vukovar-Srijem County in a summer camp in the small Dutch town of Ermelo. Enterprises in 4 Urban Agglomerations Net HRK 16.2 bn in Profit in 2020

ZAGREB, 7 Nov 2021 - In 2020, enterprises in the Osijek, Rijeka, Split, and Zagreb urban agglomerations netted HRK 16.2 billion in profits, or 77% of the profits of all enterprises in Croatia, according to an analysis by the Financial Agency. The agglomerations were established in 2015 and 2016 under a decision of the Regional Development and EU Funds Ministry. In 2020, the biggest consolidated net profit was generated by enterprises in the Zagreb urban agglomeration (HRK 14.3 billion), followed by Osijek (HRK 804.1 million), Split (HRK 631.6m), and Rijeka (HRK 399.8m). Primary Healthcare Short of 207 Family Doctors, 104 Gynecologists

ZAGREB, 7 Nov 2021 - Croatia has a shortage of 207 family doctors and 104 gynecologists, the Croatian Chamber of Physicians (HLK) said earlier this week, adding that it is necessary to advertise residencies to increase the number of doctors in primary healthcare. Finance Minister and Bridge Party Leader Test Positive for COVID-19

ZAGREB, 7 Nov 2021 - Finance Minister Zdravko Marić has been found to be positive for COVID-19 after undergoing a test at the weekend, the government announced in a press release on Sunday. Croatia Logs 4,159 New Coronavirus Cases, 50 Deaths

ZAGREB, 7 Nov 2021 - Croatia has registered 4,159 new coronavirus cases and 50 deaths in the last 24 hours, the national COVID-19 response team said on Sunday morning. Currently, there are 32,000 active cases in the country. Among them are 1,848 people who are receiving hospital treatment and 248 of them are on ventilators. A total of 26,615 people are self-isolating.
