Jelsa Trail Race to Showcase UNESCO Heritages of Hvar Island

March 15th, 2022 - An exciting event has been announced by the Jelsa Tourist Board: the first trail running race to take place in this part of Hvar island The recently announced Jelsa Trail is a bit different than your average trail race. Namely, it will retrace the route of the renowned procession Za križen (Behind the cross), which takes place every Maundy Thursday on Hvar island. Austrian Airlines Croatia Flights to Operate 23 Times Per Week

March 15, 2022 - The latest flight news to Croatia as Austrian Airlines Croatia flights will operate 23 times per week from the beginning of the summer flight schedule.  Austrian national airline and Lufthansa Group member Austrian Airlines will renew seasonal routes from Vienna to Split and Dubrovnik from the end of March, and to Zadar in early April. Croatian Airports Record Large Increases in Passenger Numbers in January

ZAGREB, 12 March 2022 - Croatian airports served 170,000 passengers in January 2022, which is an increase of 246% compared with January 2021, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics. However, the number of passengers recorded in January 2022 was only 66% of the number for pre-pandemic January 2020. Zagreb Airport served the largest number of passengers (139,200, +272%), followed by the airports at Split (19,600, +164%) and Dubrovnik (9,200, +150%). The airports at Pula, Osijek, Zadar, Rijeka, Brač and Lošinj recorded considerably fewer passengers, below 1,000 each, but the Pula, Osijek and Zadar airports reported large increases in…
