Croatia has finally been covered by snow that so many people missed for Christmas, so the streets are full of utility services and citizens removing snow. Shovels can be heard from almost all the streets in Zagreb, including the one in front of the Irish Embassy residence.
The Irish Embassy in Zagreb published a photo on Twitter on January 03, 2016, of the Irish Ambassador Tim Harrington who diligently cleaned snow in front of his residence.
The photo is unlike anything which has been seen so far in Croatia, and it is pretty hard to believe that we could ever see it with one of Croatian politicians. Some of them, like the recently elected Speaker of the Croatian Parliament Željko Reiner, could not even force themselves to wait patiently in the long lines on the borders while travelling to their skiing destinations.
