Agrokor's government appointed extraordinary commissioner has filed a lawsuit against SDP's Davor Bernardić.
''Each of us has to be responsible for our actions and their consequences,'' said Ante Ramljak, Agrokor's government appointed extraordinary commissioner, and revealed that he was engaged in civil proceedings against SDP's Davor Bernardić because of his "persistent repetition of a whole series of falsities which are causing serious damage to the [Agrokor's] extraordinary administration procedure".
As RTL writes on the 4th of November, 2017, regardless of the fierce attacks he has faced from time to time, Ante Ramljak says he doesn't regret having taken over the position of extraordinary commissioner for Croatia's ailing Agrokor Group. But, as he stated in an interview for Večernji List, owing to these persistent accusatory attacks which he claims to be full of untruths, he has filed a lawsuit against SDP's Davor Bernardić.
Ramljak appeared satisfied to be able to state that the potentially dire consequences of Agrokor's ongoing crisis have not been too much of a burden to the overall economy, and that companies within the larger Agrokor company are doing well. He also announced that Konzum is awaiting large-scale restructuring, adding that any creditor trying to settle abroad will be excluded from decision-making within the Republic of Croatia.
Given that he has also become the target of attacks, from Ivica Todorić himself to those from the political opposition, the question ''of the hour'' was whether or not Ramljak regrets having taken over the job of extraordinary commissioner for the struggling Agrokor Group:
"I don't know what they're trying to use me (scapegoat) for, but it doesn't matter, because I'm not important here, there could easily be someone else in my place. It's important to carry out the job of restructuring to the end and try to get the best out of this disaster of historical proportions. This is a job that I've accepted here, and I intend to deal with it as long as the government and the Commercial Court want me to do it, they've been judging me for the results [I've achieved] so far and I hope they'll continue to do so. As far as these attacks [on me] are concerned, as things stand at present, there is really nothing else that can be done other than to call some of these public people to take responsibility [for the attacks] before the court for publicly spreading falsehoods,'' Ramljak stated.
"I've filed a lawsuit against Davor Bernardić, who is persistently repeating a whole series of falsities, causing serious damage to the [Agrokor's] extraordinary administration procedure. Each of us has to take responsibility for our actions and their consequences. I was aware of those responsibilities when I took over this position and I'll bear them properly, which I believe all other participants in this process should have to do too. Mr. Davor Bernardić is truly irresponsible towards the extraordinary administration procedure and, without any base or argument, is accusing not only me but a number of others who have anything to do with Agrokor. As he's a public person who a lot of people trust/believe in, I had to come to the decision of [making] that unpopular move (lawsuit) because I'm the one responsible for the successful completion of the Agrokor restructuring process,'' explained Ramljak for Večernji List.
