The famous president of the Croatian Football Federation is avoiding Croatian media but has spoken to the Spanish journalists.
It is a well-known fact that Davor Šuker can rarely be seen in the Croatian media, so one has to look to the foreign press to read some of his thoughts. On April 12, 2016, he talked to the Spanish press, according to HINA.
Croatian football supporters want to hear him speak about the problems in Croatian football, but once again, they will be disappointed, as the president of CFF only talked about his former club, Real Madrid and its match against Wolfsburg, which will be played tonight.
Yes, he mentioned the Croatian football when asked about the upcoming clash between Spain and Croatia at the 2016 EURO. He talked about the Spanish advantage in the sense of the infrastructure and number of players.
It seems that Mr. Šuker has forgotten that he is the one responsible for improving the football infrastructure in Croatia. During his mandate, projects that were completed were moving the Federation to one expensive hotel in Zagreb and buying the new scoreboard for Dinamo's stadium.
Also, FIFA and UEFA have a big budget for improving the infrastructure of their members, CFF being one of them, but to get that money, they request the project to be applied by the Federation. It is the responsibility of the President to ensure such projects, but we did not see any of them yet. When talking about this matter, he is usually referring to the government's reluctance to do something about it.
Maybe he should research the FIFA and UEFA acts, and take some responsibility to improve Croatian football, instead of talking about Real Madrid?
