Čilić Out Of Roland Garros

The Croatian player was up against a much better player, and the Switzerland native won in straight sets; 6-3, 6-3, 6-1

Čilić will soon forget his first appearance in the French Open quarter-finals, as it took just one hour and forty minutes of play for Stan Wawrinka to beat him in straight sets. On June 7, 2017, the Croatian number one player made too many mistakes, and the Swiss player was in control from the very beginning.

Čilić lost his serve at the opening of the match, and all the way to the end, he was behind. Wawrinka put out an excellent performance, but the Croatian helped with 32 unforced errors.

This is the end of a clay court season for Čilić, which was quite successful for him, despite the defeat which ended it. Preparation for the grass court season starts, as Wimbledon is the next Grand Slam tournament to come in a just a few weeks time.
