The saga is finally over as Fiorentina accepts AC Milan's €25 million offer for Croatian striker Nikola Kalinić.
Nikola Kalinić is now a new member of AC Milan! It has been confirmed by the club that Fiorentina accepted Milan’s €25 million offer for the Croatian striker after weeks of negotiations, reports Goal.hr on August 20, 2017.
On Monday, the Croatian striker should arrive in Milan for medical examinations and the official contract signing.
Only then will the club likely announce the details of the contract, and according to Italian media reports, Milan will pay Fiorentina €5 million for the loan, with the obligation to buy the contract at the end of the season for €20 million. Milan cannot pay the full amount this summer because of financial fair play.

The transfer will make Kalinić the fourth most expensive Croatian player in history. Kovačić had a bigger transfer to Real Madrid (€31 million), as did Modrić to Real Madrid (€30 million) and Lovren to Liverpool (€25.3 million). This does make Kalinić the most expensive attacker in Croatian history, however!
This summer, AC Milan has brought new reinforcements including Bonuccio from Juventus for (€42 million), Andre Silva from Porto (€38 million), Andrea Conti from Atalanta (€25 million), Hakan Calhanoglu from Bayer Leverkusen (€22 million), Ricardo Rodriguez from Wolfsburg (€18 million), Mateo Musacchio from Villarreal (€18 million), and Lucas Biglia from Lazio (€17 million). AC Milan also has Franck Kessie on loan from Atalanta for €8 million and paid €1.5 million for Donnarumma’s brother Antonio. The total AC Milan has paid this transfer period, without Kalinic, is €189.5 million!
The 29-year-old is striker has apparently not trained with Fiorentina in the last few days, hinting that a big transfer was in the making. Kalinić will be the first striker for Vincenzo Montella’s AC Milan.
