The new coach of Hajduk coach is Zoran Vulić! The Split club announced the news on their official website, confirming the speculation that Vulić would jump in for Željko Kopić, reports Gol.hr on September 9, 2018.
This is the fifth time Vulić will sit on Hajduk's bench. Vulić first led Hajduk in 1998 in five rounds of the Croatian First League. In his following mandate in the 2000/01 season, Vulić led Hajduk to the championship title. In his third mandate (2002-2004), Vulić won the Cup in 2003 and also won the championship in 2004. His last engagement as Hajduk's coach was in the 2006/07 season.
After 11 years, Vulić returns as the coach of the first team where his assistants will be Mario Carević and Mladen Pralija.
The first team training will take place on Monday at 18:00, though he will be officially presented at 11:00 am. Vulić’s first match with Hajduk will be against Rudeš on Saturday, September 15 at 19:00 at Poljud.
Vulić was born on October 4, 1961, in Split, and led Hajduk as a coach in a total of 156 official matches where he achieved 101 victories, 26 draws and 29 defeats. As a Hajduk player, Vulić played 277 official matches where he scored 37 goals.
