Dario Šarić and the Philadelphia 76ers were better than Bojan Bogdanović and the Indiana Pacers last night, winning 100:94, while Ante Žižić almost had a double-double in the defeat of his Cleveland Cavaliers, reports T.portal on November 8, 2018.
Philadelphia’s win against the Pacers ended their five-game losing streak on the road, and 24-year-old Šibenik native Dario Šarić played the best match of the season; in 35 minutes on the court, he scored 18 points, was 6/13 for shots in play, and 4/6 for three-pointers, with seven rebounds and two assists. The best on the 76ers was Joel Embiid who scored 20 points and achieved 10 rebounds, and Ben Simmons who scored 16 points with ten rebounds.
Victor Oladipo was the best on Indiana with 36 points, while Domantas Sabonis added 16 points and 11 rebounds. Bojan Bogdanović scored 13 points in the 35 minutes he was on the court (shots in play 4/11, three-pointers 2/2) with five rebounds, one assist, and one steal.
The first half ended 50-50, while Oladipo scored 24 points in the first half alone. In the second half, the teams were equal before the 76ers hit a series of 13-4, thanks to which they achieved a 78-71 lead. The 76ers aggressively entered the final quarter and increased their lead to 84-73. Indiana tried to come back but failed and recorded another defeat.
Ante Žižić played a solid match last night, although his Cleveland Cavaliers recorded their tenth defeat since the start of the season - Oklahoma City Thunder was better 95-86. Žižić played 16 minutes and was very close to achieving a double-double with 10 shots (shots in play 3/5) and nine rebounds.
In the absence of the injured Russell Westbrook, Dennis Schroeder drove Thunder with 28 points.
Mario Hezonja’s New York Knicks celebrated away, winning 112-107 against the Atlanta Hawks. Tim Hardaway Jr. led the Knicks with 34 points. Enes Kanter scored 16 points with 11 rebounds for New York, while Hezonja did not have his best game - in 11 minutes on the court, he scored only one basket (shots in play 0/2, three-pointers 0/1) and scored two rebounds.
The LA Lakers were better than the Minnesota Timberwolves 114-110. LeBron James scored 24 points for the victory, while Kyle Kuzma and Josh Hart added 21 each. Ivica Zubac did not enter the game for Los Angeles.
