ZAGREB, February 2, 2018 - War crimes suspect Slobodan Mutić, who lived in the US since 1999, was brought to a Sisak prison on Thursday. In the US he was convicted for lying in his immigration papers that he had not broken the law or been involved in genocide or ethnic cleansing.
Before Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mladić was responsible for numerous crimes in Croatia as well.
A police spokeswoman confirmed that a report had been filed against a person with initials A.G. on suspicion of having committed war crimes.
The case could have very important political consequences for Croatia.
Nine former HVO members are accused of committing war crimes during the 1990s war in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Rajko Kričković pleaded not guilty.
They are not allowed to leave their place of residence and they have to hand over all travel documents.
Nacional weekly reported on Tuesday new allegations about war crimes for which Defence Minister Damir Krstičević is allegedly being investigated.
