The issue of an allegedly stolen sailing ship has remained unsolved for almost 30 years.
ZAGREB, August 11, 2018 - The German Navy's FGS Rhein mine countermeasure ship sailed into Split on a visit to the Croatian Navy, and Commander Frank Maginsky, who commands the Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group (SNMCMG2), was received by Split City Council chairman Igor Stanišić.
The crew will include 50 sailors and soldiers.
ZAGREB, April 7, 2018 - A group of three NATO warships, led by the British destroyer HMS Duncan and including a Spanish and a Turkish frigate, anchored off the southern coastal city of Split on Friday, and a delegation of the three vessels met with the Deputy Mayor of Split Nino Vela.
ZAGREB, March 24, 2018 - The ships of the Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group are on a visit to the Adriatic city of Split and the Croatian Navy for a joint naval exercise with Croatian ships.
The Croatian Navy was formed in 1991 from the Yugoslav Army during the Croatian War of Independence and the breakup of Yugoslavia. This weekend, the Croatan Navy celebrates 26 years.
The final delivery should take place in the second part of the year.
