ZAGREB, February 13, 2018 - Prime Minister Andrej Plenković on Tuesday said that other countries are expressing their preference on whether they want to and in what way be actors on the Croatian energy market, however, it is Croatia that will decided on that.

ZAGREB, February 13, 2018 - The Americans are meddling in the internal affairs of other countries, violating the principle of a free market and are conducting policies of unfair competition, Russia's Ambassador to Croatia, Anvar Azimov said on Tuesday in response to a statement by his US counterpart, Robert Kohorst, who claimed that it would be a mistake for Croatia to sell its shares in the INA oil company to the Russians.

ZAGREB, February 12, 2018 - The United States doesn't want INA to be bought by a Russian company, the new U.S. ambassador to Croatia, Robert Kohorst, said on Monday, saying that that acquisition would be a mistake.

ZAGREB, January 22, 2018 - Sisak-Moslavina County Prefect Ivo Žinić on Monday said that county authorities would not allow production in Sisak Refinery to be shut down but that authorities will advocate the continuation of primary production and for jobs to be retained as the loss of any job would mean a great loss for Sisak County.

ZAGREB, January 21, 2018 - Croatia's Environment Protection and Energy Minister Tomislav Ćorić on Saturday refuted claims that the decision of the oil and gas group INA to close the fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) plant within the Sisak refinery would pave the way for the cessation of the entire production in the facility in Sisak, and underlined that the entire refining business in Sisak would continue.

ZAGREB, January 20, 2018 - Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović said on Saturday that shutting down the Sisak oil refinery would have serious repercussions for the population in that city 50 kilometres southeast of Zagreb, and that it was essential to do all that is necessary to salvage the refinery.
