The first leg of the Mini Transat solo regatta came to a close with 56 competitors safely reaching the shore of Las Palmas on the Canary islands.

One of the most intimidating and challenging sailing races in the world, the Mini Transat 6.50 transatlantic solo regatta, kicked off in La Rochelle, France on October 1, 2017. The start saw 81 skippers, two of them our very own Vedran Kabalin and Slobodan Dado Velikić – the first Croats to compete since 2007!

On September 29, Murter island celebrated the day of its patron saint Mihovil (Michael). The island population doesn't mess around when it comes to important events, so they actually celebrate throughout Septmeber with a manifestation titled Days of the Lateen Sail (Dani Latinskog Idra) and a regatta featuring traditional wooden boats with lateen sails. Why not turn such events into a better-marketed, popular brand?

Another Sunday, another lovely regatta while the late summer weather is still on our side!

It might have taken a long time to organise, but all the efforts proved to be worth it in the end: the first regatta dedicated to Renata and Joža Horvat, two legendary adventurers, will soon take place on Lastovo.

Ever wanted to be a part of the sailing world, but didn't know how? Well, this is it. On April 28th to the 1st of May 2017,  myself and colleague Tara Miranda, were lucky enough to attend the Adriatic Lagoon Regatta 6.0. A Croatian pleasure regatta that provided a weekend of laughter, cuisine, dolphins, dancing and of course, sailing!
