As well all know, this year, Stari Grad (on our famous and sunny island of Hvar) marked an exceptional anniversary - 2,400 years of the city foundation! And while 2016 was a year of celebration, 2017 might just be Stari Grad's year too...
As most of us already know, Stari Grad on Hvar this year marked 2400 years since its establishment. What many of us may not know is that the celebrations that were had in the town were joined by footballers from HNK Jadran from Stari Grad, who is also marking a major anniversary this year. To continue the celebration for Stari Grad’s 2400 years of foundation, President of Croatia Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović will visit the town today, September 9.
As part of the program for the central celebration of Stari Grad’s 2400 years of foundation, an exhibition will take place in the lobby of the Concert-Theatre hall located at Novo Riva 5 in Stari Grad.
Stari Grad’s 2400 years of foundation begins with celebrations this evening. First up, the opening of the exhibition by Jagoda Buić beginning at 20.30h in the Juraj Plančić Gallery at the Stari Grad Museum.
