Global Entrepreneurship Week is an event that is held annually around the world, serving to celebrate entrepreneurship, job innovation, creators who launch startups and implement ideas into reality, and those who stimulate economic growth and the general well-being of their community. During one week in November each year, GEW inspires people through local, national and global activities to explore their potential as entrepreneurs and innovators.
Global Entrepreneurship Week kicks off this week in Split on 14 November. The activities held during GEW, from large-scale competitions and events to networking gatherings, connect participants to potential collaborators, mentors and potential investors - introducing them to new possibilities and opportunities.
GEW is more than just a campaign to raise awareness about entrepreneurship. It is a platform for networking and collaboration - involving all players along the entrepreneurial spectrum in strengthening ecosystems around the world.
GEW has so far spread to over 160 countries around the world and will this year be held from 14th-20th November, 2016.
Paul Bradbury from Total Croatia News will even be a guest speaker for the event on Tuesday, 15 November for the lecture on “How to start your business online”. The lecture will be held at Dom Mladih beginning at 11.00.
Global Entrepreneurship Week is organized by the Student Entrepreneurial Incubator (SPI), and is in cooperation with associations of Youth Club Split (KMS), UPIT and Startup.hr.
As part of Global Entrepreneurship Week in Split, those joining the program will have the opportunity to participate in educational lectures, workshops, panel discussions, networking events, and the 24-hour Hackathon contest called Gewathon, which will be held by domestic and foreign external experts.
