"Split Parking" Abolishes Cash Coffers, Invoices Now Sent to User’s Address

By 23 January 2017

You will now be able to pay your parking invoices via internet banking.

The Split municipal company "Split Parking" has informed citizens that since the beginning of this year, they have abolished cash coffers for pre-paid outside parking. Subscribers will be able to use street parking cash coffers until the end of January.

From January 2017, subscribers will instead receive invoices by Split Parking employees or by mail to their home address by the 10th of the month, and are obliged to pay their fees by the end of the month. From February 1st, the same rules will apply to subscribers of street parking.

“In order to reduce commission costs on payment slips we have implemented a 2D code which makes the data easier to read, and you can pay your invoices with lower commission or via internet banking,” said Split Parking.

Marko Bartulić, director of Split parking, says that due to the Law on fiscalization, the cash collection was quite complicated. Therefore, they had decided to close the cash coffer at Gundulićeva street.

“The benefit of the new payment method is that our users will be able to pay their invoices in many places because they will receive the invoice at their home address, and the invoice will have 2D codes. The fees will vary depending on where the bill is paid, but I think it should not be a significant burden for our customers,” concludes Bartulić.
