March 8 is known as International Women’s Day. What does Split have planned for today?
In an effort to praise the women of the world today, we thought we’d help you find ways to celebrate in Split.
Here are some of the events going on throughout the city today.
Women’s March: Tonight at 6 pm, a "Night March for Women" will be held at Pjaca. In an effort to defend the rights of women that are under attack, the march will serve a purpose to empower women and encourage them to stand up for equality and recognition.
Photo Exhibition “Women in Stands”: At Klub Zona at 7 pm, Association “Naš Hajduk” has organized a photo exhibition titled “Žene na tribinama” (Women in the stands). The exhibition is organized by Klub Zona, Studio Bonačić, with photographs by Maja Prgomet, Jakov Prkić, Renata Pezzija and Damir Borčić.
Restaurants:
Corto Maltese has prepared a special menu for International Women’s Day, offering a 3-course meal under the theme of some of the famous women of the world (Brigitte Bardot, Sophia Loren, and Monica Bellucci). The price for two persons is 250 kuna.
Pecado is also offering a special menu in celebration of International Women’s Day, offering a 4-course menu with a glass of wine. Price per person is 129 kuna. There will also be free dessert throughout the day and a 10% discount for all orders outside of the special menu.
Ostarija u Vidjakovi is planning a night of local dining, fine wine, and desserts, including a performance by Bambola band who will begin at 8 pm.
Apetit is serving a special occasion menu that will be offered all day.
Hotel Split is offering a “Women’s Power” spa and wellness voucher and a special “Women’s Power” dinner tonight for 250 kunas.
